Anthony drove back to the apartment in Saccold North and saw Jennifer sitting in the living room watching TV.
Hearing Anthony, Jennifer didn't turn her head. Instead, she continued to stare at the TV attentively.
Anthony walked over to her and sat down with a smile. "Why didn't you answer my calls?"
Jennifer didn't say anything but just stare at the TV screen.
"I'm talking to you. Didn't you hear me?" Anthony reached out and touched her hand.
Jennifer smacked it away. "I don't want to talk to you. Go away!"
"Why are you so angry? Is it because I was discharged from the hospital? I just wanted to give you a surprise."
Anthony smiled and took out a bouquet of flowers from behind him and handed them to Jennifer. "Thank you for taking care of me when I was ill. This is a thank you gift.
