“How are you feeling now?” I asked Kiara who was lying down on the hospital bed wincing now and then because of the contractions.
She tried to give me a reassuring smile, “I am okay, just waiting to hold them in my arms.”
I kissed her forehead, smiling down at her beautiful brown gold eyes. “I will be right here, Bella. It’s going to be okay.”
Squeezing her hand, I sat beside her, talking to her in whispers. Kiara’s water had broke the night before after dinner and we had settled in the hospital room, the nurse had mentioned that it will take a while before she can give birth as her diameter wasn’t wide enough.
