Chapter Seventeen Jude My eyes fluttered open, and I immediately reached for the phone on the nightstand. “Darn it.” I muttered, and dropped it on the bed next to me. Max hadn’t called. “It’s only noon. Maybe he’s still at mass.” I sighed, then rolled over on to my stomach and groaned. Images of Max’s sweet smile triggered my morning wood, and I laughed. “It’s been a long time since I met someone I like.” I murmured into my pillow, then I hugged it, imagining it was Max I was clutching. “It’s like I’m a horny teenager again, minus the acne and crazy family.” I sat up, arranged the pillows behind me and picked up my phone.
