The moment Lucas stepped out of the room, I followed him, despite his warning. My body was shaking, but I couldn't ignore the situation any longer. When we got outside, I saw Adam standing just beyond the packhouse, creating a scene in front of several members of the Forest Pack. His eyes were wild with frustration, and he looked ready to tear apart anyone who stood between us.
"Adam, stop!" I called out, my voice wavering. The pack members watched, tension hanging in the air, as two alphas squared off over me.
Adam's eyes locked onto mine, filled with a mixture of anger, hurt, and desperation. "Come back to me, Elsa. This isn't you," he pleaded, his voice laced with emotion, but it only made everything more complicated.
