Chapter 13 Be my bride

Eliza arrived at the house and shut the door absentmindedly. She didn't notice when the twins Georgia and George came to stand beside her.

"Liz!" Georgia said as she tugged on Eliza's dress. Eliza snapped out of her trance and looked down at the person tugging at her dress. A smile appeared at her lips when she saw the twins. They had grown even bigger since the last time she saw them, they should be 11 now.

"Yeah?" She asked. Seeing that they had gotten her attention, they began to ask

"So what did Jas say?" Hearing the question, Eliza's mind went to what happened in side the prison. She couldn't tell them that Jasmine didn't want to see her, so she smiled and said

"Everything is fine" After Eliza said that, the twins looked at her in doubt, but then she reassured them.

"I'll get Jasmine out of there, I promise " The twins were finally convinced and they were about to say something else when Royal ran into the room with Alisa, Dion, Kiara and Jason following behind him.

" No, no, you can't catch me! "Royal yelled as he ran with his cute chubby legs all around the living room. The other four chased him around running as slow as they could so Royal could have his way.

" Just you wait, Roy, I'm going to get you" Jason said with a scary voice which actually gave Eliza the creeps,

" Not if I get him first" Kiara ran a bit faster covering the little space between her and Royal

" No, I'm going to get him" Dion ran faster also and pushed his sister a bit to give him access to the little boy who was still running.

Eliza laughed wholeheartedly as she watched them run around the house, until she felt something or someone by her legs.

"Mummy, save me!" Royal yelled as he raised up his hands to Eliza, wanting her to carry him.

Eliza didn't want to disappoint her son, so she picked him up and put him on her shoulders. Seeing that Royal had been picked up by Eliza, the four older kids stopped running.

"This isn't fair" Alisa pouted and Royal giggled while putting out his tongue to them.

"Mummy is the greatest superhero of all time" Royal wrapped his little arms around his mother's neck, making everyone present fall in love with him even more.

"Liz I got to hand it to you, that boy of yours really knows how to make people love him" Alisa said walking up to Eliza after she had put him down.

"I see he had already won your heart. He's my angel"

"Yet you wouldn't tell is who's his father?" Alisa asked sarcastically. Since they saw Royal, all they had been asking was who was the father, but Eliza wasn't ready to spill, not yet anyways. She wanted to be sure that they wouldn't judge her for it before she told them, but in secret, all of them had their own suspicions.

"Anyways, let's forget that topic, what about Jasmine?" The expression on Alisa face changed she awaited her answer. Eliza weighted her options. Should she tell her the truth, tell her what she told the twins. As Eliza thought more about it, she discovered that if she continues to say that she would find a way to release Jesse, she would sooner or later have no choice than to accept Mason's offer.

"Eliza what is it?" Alisa asked clearly worried because Eliza didn't answer her question.

"Why don't we talk in my room?" Eliza held Alisa hand and dragged her upstairs to her room to talk without any of the younger ones listening.

Locking the door of her room, she turned towards Alisa who had sat down and was crossing her hands around her chest

"I want to know everything".

Eliza began telling her about what happened with Jasmine and herself in the women's prison up until she arrived at what Mason offered.

Mason saw that he had gotten her attention so he continued

"I know you don't have the money to pay for my car, because to you it would cost a lot, so I have a deal for you".

Eliza wasn't sure what he wanted to say, but something deep down in her told her she wouldn't like it, but she had no choice, his car got wrecked while be tried to save her.

"What is it?"

"I want you to be my bride"

"What?" Eliza wanted to slap him so he could snap out of whatever he was thinking. How can she get married to him? And why? Just because of a car?

"My grandparents are pressuring me on getting a bride, and since you were the one who stopped my wedding 4 years ago, I figured you are the only one who can fix this" Mason stated like he was talking about the weather.

Eliza couldn't believe her ears, now can he say that to her, she wasn't even up to his status, if they were any hope they could be together four years ago, it was gone now. The Mason in front of her was richer and way better in every way possible. She was no match for him.

"But why do you want to pick me, there are many other girls which are in your class" And also I don't want you to find out about Royal. Eliza said the rest inwardly. If she got close to him, he may find out about her son. And what if he didn't want kids, what would she do? His family was rich enough to have her son killed and no one would notice, they could also make her disappear from the world with no traces.

Mason wondered within, Why did I pick her. But then he convinced himself, that it was because he wanted to punish her for what she did to him 4 years ago, nothing more. He got gotten rid of his feelings and only wanted revenge.

"Why can't it be you. Few days after you left my house, a woman called me claiming she was your mother. She said that she knew about what happened between us and wanted me to get married to you as soon as possible.." As Mason was speaking, Eliza face began to turn pale. Her mother had called him!

Fear gripped her and she watched his mouth move not listening to anything he was saying anymore, what if she told him about her pregnancy? Her heart began beating faster just thinking about it.

"Wh..what else di.. did she tell you?" Eliza sluttered as she asked dreading the answer would be same as what was in her head.

Mason felt the air around her change, she was nervous, but about what? That he did not know, but he wanted to find out.

When he heard her question, his left brow went up unconsciously, what could she be hiding?

"What else could she tell me?" He asked the obviously frightened beautiful lady in front of him.

Eliza took a breath of relief when she heard his answer, but then why didn't her mother say anything to him? She looked up at him and saw that he was still expecting an answer

"Em.. nothing, I just, er.. I don't have a good relationship with my mother" She blurted out without thinking, after she said that she wanted to slap herself

"If you don't have a good relationship with her, how did she know about what happened between us?" Mason asked confused. When she first disappeared he wanted to do a background check on her, but remembering what she said, he decides against it. But now that she was back, he had to know more about her.

Eliza searched for an excuse to get out of this, and since she couldn't get one, she decided to leave

"I have to go, I'll consider your offer and reply to you when I get a chance". And with that, she left without turning back leaving the confused Mason alone with his slightly scratched car.

"You have no choice, unless your willing to pay for my car's damages" Mason yelled just before she was out of sight and she heard.

Alisa mouth was wild open as Eliza finished the story. Of course she cut out the part of her mother and her being pregnant but Eliza told Alisa everything else hoping together they could reach a conclusion.
