It starts the same every time . . . I’m running through a forest, the air is crisp and stings my face a bit. I can see my breath, it’s as white as mist. I can hear the sound of birds chirping and the smell of fresh dew and pinewood is in the air. There’s a clearing up ahead and as if being pulled by some unknown force I start to run faster and faster until my lungs feel as if they were on fire. The clearing turns out to be a meadow with tall green grass, and a giant willow tree sitting next to a pond. As I look upon the horizon the most beautiful wolf I have ever seen lying before me. With a pure white coat like freshly laid snow on a cold winter's night, with a black heart-shaped spot on her chest, and teal-colored eyes that shined ever so brightly. There was a sense of elegance and grace about her and she stood there with pride in her gaze. As I looked in awe as I suddenly made eye contact, it wasn’t like looking into the eyes of a beast, but more like I was looking in the mirror staring at my reflection. ‘Snap’ The sound catches my attention a second too long, as I see a figure across the way, a wolf as black as night with eyes as red as fresh blood emerging from the forest. His eyes appear as if they could pierce a man's soul. As I stared at him I saw something I wasn't familiar with, it wasn’t hatred, anger, or sorrow but something I had yet to know. I go to look at the white one but she’s already gone. Then darkness is all I see. . .
As if on cue, I’m suddenly ripped from my dream and was awakened by a sudden feel of ice-cold water. “ It’s time to make breakfast, NOW!!” As the basket comes slamming down on me, reminding me of how much I loathe my life. “Right away Mrs.Barlow'' I said as politely as I could manage with the chatter of my teeth as I wiped the water from my face. Once she leaves the room, I get up and look at the clock. It's 4 o’clock in the morning, and I grab the cleanest-looking shirt along with a pair of jeans near me. It doesn’t smell too bad, I throw them on and run upstairs to the kitchen and start getting breakfast around. For breakfast, there are pancakes, grits, oatmeal, farina, sausage, bacon, ham, steak, apples, oranges, bananas, grapes, granola, and about 10 different cereals. How these people can eat all this is beyond me. There are about 12 of them, I’m lucky if there are any leftovers for me. This family consists of Mr. & Mrs. Barlow, they have 2 sets of twins John & Jake they’re 27 a bit loud and violent. Then there’s Lacie & Lorance, they’re 25 and I think they are psychopaths. If you thought they were nuts there was also the triplets Bacster, Betty, & Ben they so happen to be 18 the closest ones to my age, and by far the worst ones to be around. After them is Corey, he’s 15, a bit moody, and likes to lock himself in his room. Next is Sue, who's 12 likes to mimic her mother a lot, and the youngest is Janice, who's 6 and loves to hang on my leg while I move around the house, She’s also known as my favorite. By the time I finish making breakfast, it’s 6:30 am school starts in an hour and a half. It takes me 3 minutes to set the table, and it takes me another 15 minutes to bring all the food to the Dining room.
