NOT A LONG WAY FROM THE HEART

CHAPTER 6 TREACHEROUS VICTORY

It's been four days since Skillet and his brother met their unpleasant fate. Fabio has since the second day turned his sights to business at hand and delves so deep into it in effort to keep his mind from what's happened. Bianca, still looking forward to her plan of winning over Fabio and getting off from where things were left off. Of course, Dexcp00⁰0⁰e town not knowing of the appalling fate of the two brothers. The expansion of development is taking its toll in town, as the people look to a brighter future and even the present as well. Fabio's intentions for Dexce are bigger than anyone imagines or knows of but this couldn't be a problem for Amigo as he has plots of his own and not to mention that the immediate problem has been taking off the board, Fabio should be the one bothering about Amigo and his tainted intentions.

Bolita, dying while trying to wane her feelings that she bornes for Fabio. Nothing is in Amigo's way anymore, the threat is very much eliminated and treachery overflows in victory. The chief plan now for Amigo is to find a way and steal some partners of Fabio, his eyes being set on the lucrative ones that will cause a lot of losses to him.

Interlude

Betrayal comes from home. They say it's like a sparrow to the heart, it could come from the back, or even the front but it pains all the same. The only difference comes from the standing of the betrayer in the life of the one, betrayed.

Congratulations are in order for Fabio, the man who only just arrived few months ago and has transformed the town into a beacon of hope and ambition, maybe the commendations are a bit too much but everyone knows that Fabio has very much indeed bought a place in the heart of Dexce with all these changes, even the traitorous Amigo knows this well which is why he can't seem to stall anymore on his schemes to run his long known childhood friend under,nobody knows of Amigo's secret except for his most trusted men whose mouths are securely sealed ‘til death and the drunk, Stalemate, who poses a loophole and not because of his repute. This town has been one to hold many secrets from years past but this one is different, a betrayal secret between two childhood friends.

It's Sunday, Fabio in church as he was also invited by the Pastor to come and service was different today than other times because the town is experiencing so much joy, though it doesn't know the price it's paying at least not yet. Fabio getting busy than ever with all the business operations going rapidly fast into an empire, the exact thing Amigo is looking to acquire for himself by betraying Fabio. A meeting has been called in for in the office, all the men are waiting for Fabio to come and address them on what’s the subject of this meet. Amigo just walks in few minutes in and Fabio follows in not long after, looking stern than ever.

Forged like a stone in this life on line path which was chosen long from birth for him. Stepping up to the demands was done almost so easily by Fabio as if it didn't cost nothing, but it very much cost a lot, if not everything. 6 straight days of un-ending gleeful and shitty toils for Fabio. The next day is set already with the arrival of Scattface, an arrival of the very person, who is coming into business with Fabio as well, but only that this to be partner is a far bigger and more resourceful pool than any other secured partners. But such deals like this one, comes at a price which Fabio is willing to pay as it's not worth much to him anyways or so he believes for now as he hasn't been told what he will give in the barter exchange.

Calling in a loud taunting voice is a group of dexterians, calling on God to come and bless them more and help them to make use of this new found growth that he has helped them with. Nothing really beats a group gathering in town and it never goes unnoticed as a few others joined them and it was more of a Sunday service gathering. Burning their request into an inflated balloon that takes it into the sky, as they were all changing happily words as it went into the air and above.

The Calvary's arrival is in some hours time, Fabio totally locked in, in thoughts over this arrival of his prospective new partner, Scattface, an acquired name derived from stories of deeds and he too accepted it in gratification. Bolita is carrying a heavy weight in her mind, she's also thinking of the opportunities in which this door of relation will offer her and a life changer indeed but also considering if it's a right choice and if it will end well is of the most concern to her. Things were just beginning to move in the direction of growth for a few months now, yet the town looked as if it was of a classy standard for a long while to this. The town is planning on doing a commemoration of Fabio when these changes have been enacted fully. The issue with being a centre of attraction which Dexce is gradually becoming, is making a lot of people come over for business but where lies the question is in the nature of businesses that Dexce town will be used for in secret.

Taped into his memory, the horror of that unfaithful day as he witnessed the death of the two brothers at Amigo's hand, Stalemate, wasn't always a drunkard from start, of course, a bit of twist here and there made the man that's known today. Scattface just arrived in Dexce at noon, welcomed by Fabio, who is to become his new business partner depending on how the deal negotiations play out.
