NOT A LONG WAY FROM THE HEART

CHAPTER 7 SIGHT ON VISION/GHOST

Amigo, seated in “Starlinger’s Bar”, a new inn with better improvements than the town's previous one, after he's had a couple of bottles to go, he begins seeing things, of all the things he rather be inflicted with in his state of mind, the least of all he could ask or think of would be a mirage of Skillet, pointing at him with such agony and next to him is a note of retribution, saying “your times coming to a close, sooner than you think”. In anguish of what his eyes perceived to have seen, he squeals looking in despair and anger towards the other room in the bar which is a bit darker than everywhere else but he sees no one there except for the bartender and four fellows behind him to the other left side of the room, in a flash of seconds, he realises himself and and smiles weirdly in an embarrassed fashion and walks out the door. Bolita’s believed to have come to a conclusion, she's made her mind up about Fabio at last and she plans to tell him at his room following her close from work. “Once a chance to bite, and maybe never again will you smell that again so bite”, it's a quote from a long gone adviser from Dexce town, one of the most prestigious names, if not the most to say. And she always admired the deceased and his words of wisdom which proved to be enormous and truly valued by all therein. Caned to death by Amigo orders is one of the men that betrayed the concealment of what happened that day to Skillet and his brother, this man in fact dare to speak of it as he wishes, against the directives of Amigo. This is definitely an example made to anybody who decides they've grown above the whims of the head. Fabio is well-engaged in duties of turning Dexce into a homework place for himself and a slight belief of finding a life here again. A call from his sister, who's so concerned for her only family left and tethered to the hope that a brother will find peace and love as she never fails to mention it almost every time they both talk. Fabio, really consumed by work at the moment, can have the leisure of entertaining thoughts of the one that burdens his heart. It's more like a vision of the partners and investors and him, so there's no room for relaxation because of the risk involved in any mis-step that ensues.

Nothing matters like a new life to Fabio, right now and having it with no slips up is a top priority to him. The town is really looking different from what it looked like 7 months ago. That shows how much work is being put into the town and it isn't even close to over yet. Starry is the eyes of those in town now, seeing this revolution taking place, and right so to call it that as Dexce, herself is embracing a new self of its own. Amigo looking into the skies, in thought of what happened at Starlinger Bar, an ordeal it stands to to be for him that the ghost of a dead should come stirring up trouble for him, not that he even believed in such a thing, as he stood an atheist, without a belief or conviction in a supreme being or thing.

Night has quickly come by, and Fabio has really pushed the loads more today than than any of the other days since this reforming began. Making it back to his room after calling it a night with a bottle of liquor included, before his threshold lies a note from the mind-made-up, Bolita, seeking his presence if it is in fact available to give at the moment. Fabio in a haste of some sort, takes a shower and goes to meet Bolita as she is waiting in the very same garden that she seats in. Bolita, sheepily greets Fabio and he smiles in a half formed way, showing his grin at her with such elation as if he's certain of what she's going to say.

Anything, out of the mouth of Bolita was indeed what Fabio was eager to hear, and in a fleeting moment of the words leaving her lips to his ears, elated doesn't quite describe how Fabio is to hear those words, everything settling in an auspicious spot both the planned for and unplanned, Fabio gets a grip on her hand, drawing her close to himself and Bolita in a defiant nature resists at first instance but with Fabio persistence she gives in and she's pulled towards him. Fabio without hesitation tells her of her difficult disposition and she repostes with more defiance by saying more of her mind of how this will work and how the hands will be played. In fact it is fair to say that it's her disposition and having a mind of her own unlike anyone he’s seen, which tends to fuel this passion he has towards her.

Really bent on finding why he is having such a vision of a dead man, Amigo asks for a doctor to explain why this sudden experience, besides he's killed so many men before so why is Skillet's any different. And Amigo has a deal of killing however he tells his dark truths to, so this doctor is also likely to meet an unfortunate fate at his end, just like the Dovens brothers met theirs. Fabio and Bolita are having a delightful time together as Bolita makes mention of the impact he has had in the town since his arrival, he puts her praises to rest. Of course, Bolita isn't ignorant to the fact that Fabio’s work type, she's fully aware of the life he is into which she is getting involved with by association, though, she raises concern and Fabio promises her that nothing absolute nothing will happen to her and he assures her he doesn't have enemies which will be looking for vengeance or anything to to be of a bother to him. Bolita, in a passive way, doesn't doubt any further with words relayed.

Fabio, feeling content with now things have progressed, offers Bolita a drink grab and she agrees and they sit outside the bar, where there's a shed, not long after they've both decided to retire the night, Fabio walks her just to her place before going back on by himself. On his way he sights a snake, it hisses at it notices his presence, and it's ready to strike if any further threat is sensed, Fabio thinking of shooting it, concerned rather with the noise from the discharge decided to set it on fire, seeing that he has a lighter and a small bottle of alcohol in his jacket pocket. On fire is the python and it squeals while it throws itself in discomfort in search of quelling the fire but nothing of a solution is around as it's a dry bush around which will rather support the burning. In less than 5 minutes it's completely consumed and Fabio sets back to the warehouse to do one last surveillance of things there and make sure everything is intact and safe. He then goes to his room straight.

The moon is in eclipse tonight in Dexce, when this occurs, the Dexters make a request through a sacrifice of a ram asking for Peace and long life, this has been a tradition passed down from over 500 generations of Dexce’s history. Those that can't come out will burn an incense in their homes as it is very much a tradition that is must respected and acknowledged. Amigo is finalising his time with the doctor and his diagnosis is more of a psychological effect than a medical one. Supposedly, it time for the doctor to meet a gruesome fate like many others have at the hand of Amigo, instead, Amigo is more concerned with his value than the otherwise and would rather place on a leash with a good tip for his discretion, at least he knows killing the doctor will stir up a lot of heat and questions in the town and ruining a special day as this is also not good for business which will put all this shady plans at risk of being exposed.
