“Well, that was intense,” I muttered as I let Daria help me up off the floor. “Yes, it was,” Xen agreed. “You should both get some sleep,” Daria said as she dismantled the wards. “I can buy you a few hours at least. I need to find Amblin and get a better understanding of the tactical situation.” I yawned as if I needed to be told I was tired. Xen tugged me closer, arms around my waist, and led me to one of the cots. I went down easily, sleep claiming me quickly. I woke later, startled out of my sleep, but uncertain what had startled me. I sat up, spotting Xen on another cot. Otherwise, the tent was empty. Either Daria or Xen had removed my boots after I fell asleep, and I found them at the foot of the cot.
