Alex’s POV I didn’t plan to walk into chaos that evening. I only wanted to take Evelyn out of the summit building for some fresh air before the second session began. She had looked tense during the panel, and though I didn’t show it, I had been watching her the whole time. Her shoulders are stiff. Her eyes shifted whenever she glanced at Liam and he glared at her. I knew she needed a break. I didn’t expect to hear muffled cries coming from the restroom hallway. At first, I ignored it.
