Sitting down on the soft cushions in the library was where Althea found herself after her Biology. It was just her, her coffee and the book she had picked up when she strolled in.
Turning the page to find out more about the mystery building up in the story, she was interrupted by a set of manicured fingers placing themselves on the page.
Althea knew the aura before her too well. How did she find me? Looking up, she was met with those same blue eyes from earlier. "Ms. Coleman, I need you in my office immediately."

Sitting in front of Ms. St. George was no easy task. She was just so stunning that it was intimidating and that's coming from a female.
Crossing her leg over the other in the plush seats they both were sitting on in the corner of the Headmaster's office, Ms. St. George started the conversation, "I'm going to cut to the chase. Althea, please tell me why your agency sent you here."
"Damn. She wasted no time getting to the point," Althea thought, her eyes widening a little at the sudden boldness from Ms. St. George.
Sitting up a bit straighter in the comfortable seat, the dark girl took off her glasses and sat them neatly in her lap and gave her full attention to the woman before her.
"Seeming as now my cover is blown, I might as well answer your questions the best way I can," a small smile began to form on the blue eyed woman's face, "However, I have a question of my own, "Althea finished, which earned her a nod.
"Proceed."
Narrowing her eyes a little, Althea asked, "How did you find out about why I'm here or who I was?"
Ms. St. George chuckled for a while, "News travels fast when money talks."
It was the dark girl's turn to nod as she was somewhat satisfied with her answer,"Now to answer your question. I'm here on a mission to locate a Mafia leader. Turns out, his son is enrolled in this institution. He is our lead to his undetectable father," Althea finished, only giving enough information to satisfy the Headmaster.
Ms. St. George placed a finger on her chin, still holding Althea's gaze,"It still doesn't tell me why you couldn't have inform the school about this first."
"If we did, our entire mission would be in danger. The information would of leaked and our suspect would have escaped."
The dark haired lady hummed and began to stand, "It's Talia by the way," She muttered as she led Althea to the door.
Althea smirked to herself as she placed her glasses back on, "Just Talia in here or..." She started to trail off but she think Ms. St. George got the message.
"Just when we are alone Ms. Coleman," Talia answered as Althea nodded and stepped through the doors out of her office.
The Headmaster had to think to herself, what is it about this girl?

After a tiresome day, Althea was more than over joyed to go to her dorm room after a tiresome day of schoolwork. She couldn't remember high school being this much. But wait, it's not. Its a totally different setting and work load than high school. You have to be able to balance everything. You just have to.
Soon enough, Althea heard the all too familiar sound of her ringtone. I hope its Beth.
Picking up her phone off of the dresser, she saw that it really was Beth.
"Hey Beth," She stated softly as she answered the call.
The dark girl could literally feel the smile radiating off of her friend, "Hey bestie! How is work going for you so far?"
Althea rubbed her temples together in a circular motion as a headache was beginning to form, "It was alright so far. I think I'm on the headmaster's watch list though."
Beth gasped on the other side of the phone, "How-," then she shook her head, "Never-mind that. I want the details."
The ebony girl went to lay down on her bed as she recited some events from today.
"And then she called me to her office to explain why the agency hadn't told her about our mission and I'm like 'Miss, this is below my pay grade to tell confidential stuff," Althea finished off as her best friend chuckled at the other end of the phone.
"Sounds to me like the headmaster is stalking you on purpose," Beth sang out loud.
Rolling her eyes, Althea muttered, " Don't get any funny ideas Beth. It's not that type of party."
"Not to you, but to her."
Checking her watch, Althea realized that it was getting late, "Beth, we'll have to talk some other time. It's getting late."
The two girls said their goodbyes as the dark skin woman made her way to the small dorm kitchen to make a meal for herself.

While eating her dinner and checking her social medias, Althea saw that she had an email that was unopened. Opening it, she saw that it was a piece of evidence from a fellow investigator.
"You might want to look at this Ms. Coleman," the email stated.
Attached to the email was a letter supposedly written to someone. It read,
Father, wherever you may be, what ever you are doing, please stop. Yes, I know this sounds like begging but I don't want to see you die for something that can be fixed the right way. Both of us know secrets that can do more harm than good but I choose to give up that life. It's not worth it in the end. I've seen the outcome of the path you're taking and you'll die if you don't change for the better.
~ Drakos
"Wait, Drakos? As in 'the same Drakos in my biology class?" The dark skinned girl thought as she moved to her work laptop.
"This doesn't add up," she whispered as she started typing. Althea was going to call the investigator about this information.
"Hello." The man on the other side answered.
Fixing her glasses on her face, Althea spoke, "Hello Mr. Brunes. I saw that you sent a letter to my email. Where did you get this from?"
"Remember our secret briefing on the backdoor worm the agency implanted on anything dealing with the Cartella Family?"
"Yes, I remember."
"Well," Mr. Brunes huffed out, "This letter was copied into our system. This person was trying to contact their 'father' it seems."
"So you're trying to say the father of this person could be the person we're trying to locate." Althea sighed out as she leaned back in her chair.
"Could be a possibility Ms. Coleman. I definitely wouldn't rule it out yet." Mr. Brunes finally said.
The two said their goodbyes as Althea examined the letter again. This Drakos guy is getting mysterious.
"He could even be the son of a Cartella mafia boss," her mind told her but she washed that thought away. Can't assume anything without the proper evidence to back it up.
With this new information in her possession, Althea decided to call it a night. She finished eating her food and ran herself a bubble bath.
Living by herself in a spacious dorm room had the best idea the agency had. In here, there was always tranquility.
Laying her bare neck back on the tub handle, Althea closed her eyes to relish the feeling of the warmth that surrounded her.
"This feeling is awesome," she purred out.
And the minute she said that, sharp blue eyes met her in her reverie.
Opening her eyes and groaning loudly, she cursed, "f**k! Why does the woman haunt me already? It's only the first day!"
