The last meal with Javed

320 Words
" Meet me half way" I smiled and hung up. To us it meant car s*x! Sex nowdays is just a desire that my body craves from time to time, sometimes twice or thrice a day. My great parents shared such brilliant portrayal of compassion of relationships that I hardly have any interest in having one myself. I had covered my heart and locked it away ever since when I understood that it's a complexity, best avoided! My relationship extends through the night and if the night is worth remembering for, I repeat a few times. It's basically a headache to even invest much time to think about it. Most days when I am not with anyone, I drink my sorrows and pass out on the sofa or bed or whatever that comes in the way. Many times I have even fallen asleep in my jeep after emptying half a bottle of liquor and woke up in my own drool with the sunlight directly on my face, waking me up for the day. I parked the jeep near Jeetu's Highway Dhaba in Pune Mumbai Expressway. Came out and sat on the bonnet while lighting a cigarette. I leaned my back on the wind shield. The night sky looked beautiful. It's rare to be able to see the stars in Mumbai sky. My phone started to ring. Javed called to inform he is running late by 20. I called chote. "Oye, mera wala thali lagade. Chomu ko aane mein der hai" This is my usual place. I don't like much changes about myself. Same eateries, same type of clothes mostly black and khakhis, glares, minimal makeup and full attitude. Javed reached. I had already started with my food. " Such a b***h. You didn't even wait" Javed made a grumpy face. I made an indifferent facial expression " How old are you? Two? I went back to my lip smacking meal.
