The satisfaction I felt when I heard about her arrival in my mansion knew no bounds, I almost jumped out of my office chair, I was already preparing to take a shower and go to Shirley, retire with her as usual for the day.

When the exciting news came to me, “are you sure it's kate?” I asked my beta again. Vance nodded for the fourth time to the same question in thirty seconds.

Of course I was shocked, I wasn't expecting her to come all by herself, she must be very bold to come alone to see me, I was expecting her elder brother lucian and I planned to get to her through him.

I have known Kate to be my mate for the past two years but I did nothing about it because of the whole family situation between us.

Now is the time to take my revenge, I will make sure she suffer in my hands. The door to my inner office opened, one of the guards brought her in, now at me and left immediately, she stood there by the far entrance. Panting and scowling at me.

I didn't know I was starting until She coughed to get my attention before speaking to me. Her words were harsh and calculated. I knew she had been practicing them before coming to me at midnight. I already had an idea of everything she had come to Say to me. Yet I allowed her. because I wanted to hear her voice.

I eyed her with the most gross look I could muster at that moment, even though the mate bond wanted me to do Something else, I moved closer to get more of her sweet vanilla and mint scent. I knew I couldn't touch her but I stood a few inches from her.

She sucked in her breath at our proximity and I knew at once that she had found out about our mate bonds, “you know already… So I will get straight to it!” I informed her. Making sure my voice was loud and scary enough to put her in her place.

I always used that voice and stiff powerful tune whenever I wanted to scare people off without shouting, it worked out the magic as usual, she looked down at her feet and started trembling at once, all her confidence disappearing.

“I didnt .. my… I… Didn't… Come here for that! I came here to know why my patent had to die! You sent their dead body to us with that mean message… Why did you do it?”, she asked me again, her voice breaking. This time she didn't dare to look at my face or catch my gaze.

Just do that and come back by morning!” I barked at her, a smudge smile appearing on my lips in satisfaction. .

She touched her shoulder under my burning finger and bit her lips. I almost lost control at that very innocent gesture of hers, but I stood my ground, I won't allow the mate bond make a fool of me, “why are you quiet… You were blabbing away now” I mocked her.

She stirred away from me, took a few cautious steps backward, her scared eyes on my face, until she hit the door with her back, shaking her head in disapproval and repeating the word no! She busted out of my office and ran out of my sight.

My Beta instantly mind linked with me quietly and asked if he should go after her but I told him to stay put… all the guards and security should let her go, “She will come back by herself”. I told him. I knew she would, she has no choice.

I got home shivering and shaking from the unfelt cold. The house was warm but I had caught a supernatural cold from the Alpha voice, it had gotten to my heart and was making me shiver. The intensity, authority and harshness of his voice wasn’t to be joked with.

The next morning I woke up to Lucian knocking on my door, as usual he entered without me inviting Him in. Thank goodness I didn't pull my clothes off when I returned from my secret outing.

He didn’t seem to notice, he looked like he also had a bad night. “Have you been crying?” I asked with suspicion. Lucian had never cried in my presence, he laughed shortly at the question before his disheveled face turned into the serious looking elder brother of mine again.

“I have a plan!” he told me. I sat up at once, the sadness and defeat from last night, evaporating at once. My elder brother's plan made sense at once, even without telling me yet, I swore to listen to him this time.

He hurriedly told me of his intention of leaving the Green sun pack with me and Aiden to start our lives elsewhere, away from the crazy and destructive Alpha Chris.

I didn’t doubt it or against his plan at all, I thought of it as the best. “We need to move as fast as possible” I told him. He didn't suspect why, I agreed immediately. He was too happy at my unusual cooperation to ask.

It's high time I start listening to Lucian. At least his solution is much more realistic than mine. We will leave here and I will be free from all the bad memories and the handsome looking devil, who want to suck my blood and eat my flesh.
