CHAPTE-THREE

THE RETURN

ALLISON’s POV

“He took them away ally… He took them and you expect me to just run for my own life! He killed my parents and took my brothers in the middle of the night ”.

My best friend was yelling at me, her face hard and filled with anger. I knew the fury would do her no good because she couldn't hurt the Alpha, he would break her before she lifted her finger.

“It’s not the best solution … i know Kate, but your brothers would want that… a man that can go to such length just to send his message to you! His guards scattered their room and took them away for the past three days! . What do you think he would do to you?” I asked her, trying again to change her mind.

She had dressed up to sneak out again that morning when I caught her, for the last three days she had been trying to go back to the Royal Mansion to save her brothers, according to her words.

“You can’t save them… you can’t do anything for them right now? They will want you to be safe! Please listen to me” I drawled, resorting to begging.

All my shouting and reasoning with her for the past three days was having no effect so I decided to switch my tactics. She shook her head in disagreement and opened the door.

She turned back and looked at me, I sighed in defeat and nodded back at her. I understand that glance and I would respect it, as her best friend she’s counting on me now to trust and support her. I rushed to hug her from behind before she opened the door.

“I will be back!” She told me without looking back at me, I nodded behind her again, even though I knew it was a total joke and lie, she was lying to both of us and she knew it. She sniffed back her tears and rushed out.

Without looking back at me, I watched her disappear into the thin air, my heart heavy and scared for her. I knew at once what I needed to do. I must stand with her even at this time.

KATE

My entrance into the mansion was like the last time I visited, the guards were expecting me and the sleek black car was also waiting to transport me into the main building.

This time his guards didn’t usher me into his office, I was whisked quickly into a very big, bright and beautiful hall. The whole place was made of glasses and colorful tiles.

I stood in front of his mother, little sister and the Alpha himself. I was shocked to see his whole family seated. “What is he planning now? '' I asked myself.

he was definitely up to no good because he was grinning at me, “I told you .. I warned you that you will be back.. didn’t I!” He said To me, his voice low and menacing.

He wasn’t shouting and barking orders at me, he knew he already had me in his clutches, “I came for my brother Alpha.. let me see them and know if they are okay” I replied, choosing my words wisely this time, I didn’t want to annoy him.

I remained on my knees, bowing my head and keeping my voice very low and pitiful. It's better this way, I couldn’t fight him. I will just crawl and beg.

“You are wasting time Kate.. they will die if care is not taken, they have been suffering for the past three days… is this the best you can do?” He asked me, his voice rising again. I must have hit some nerves to infuriate him again.

I cursed myself inwardly and tried again, “please Alpha.. I will leave here and never return… I beg you please … just let us go” I burst into an unexpected sobb, I heard his mother inhale her breath loudly, I looked up to her with my teary eyes.

Maybe she could help me, she looked back at me gloomily and gazed away at once, his sister did the same too. She even spared me a pitiful pout, I saw the agitation and pity in their eyes, but just like me they couldn’t disobey the Alpha king.

I looked down again in defeat into the glittery and shining tiles, fell into the floor and just stayed there. “You don’t need all of this! … bring in her elder brother!” He barked at no one in particular, few of his guards rushed out of the room and in no time at all, they came back with my elder brother.

I screamed immediately my eyes fell on him, he looked so battered and in serious pain, he was groaning but nothing was coming out of his mouth, all his body had swollen up and filled with bruises.

His mouth was open and blood was oozing out from it, including his nose. I grabbed my raging and burning heart and cried out again. With all my strength, “Lucian!” I called out his name, holding onto his bloody and limp body.

I felt dizzy at once and almost fainted, Lucian couldn’t respond to me, had been beaten to an unrecognizable state, his body filled with tears from poisonous whips that were taking too long to heal.

He could barely see me or talk to me because of the state he was in. I glared at the Seated Alpha who seemed to be enjoying the whole show, “take him away!” He ordered again and in a twinkle of an eye, my elder brother was dragged away.

You either agree to my terms or I kill your two brother kate… It's two options, just choose one!” He roared at me, his eyes filled with undiluted hatred and anger.

I was still wondering why he hates me so much and intends to have me as his mate even after everything that has happened between us.

“You killed my parents… How can I be your luna?, to hell with this mate bond?. I will never agree to be your mate, I reject you Alpha Chris!" I screamed back at him with all my strength.

Placing my right trembling hand on my chest to reject the Alpha, but to my shock the bond didn't break like it was supposed to, he laughed loudly and mocking at me. He already knew his special abilities wouldn't allow that, I realized too late.

“You are a monster!! I hate you” I cried out, slumping into the floor and his feet in defeat, reaching for his legs to plead again but he kicked me off.

Sending me to the far end of the room, I winced in pain and agony, “go and bring her little brother beta vance… She need to learn her lesson… How dare you try to reject me!” he bellowed at my shivering form.

I didn't want my little sixteen year old brother dead, he would do according to his threat. He had shown me that on several occasions, he's so stone hearted and cold, cruel with no feelings.

rushing to where he was seated, still on my knees, I blurted out, “I will marry you… I agree to be your luna Alpha” i confessed, stretching my right palm to give my oath.

Beta Vance stopped by the big wooden exit door and stepped back into the room, immediately Alpha Chris' mother who had been seated close to her son quietly for the past one hour, stood up and took my oath palm, relief evident on her face, she smiled sadly at me.

Sealing the oath at once. I had just given my life to my worst enemy in exchange for my brother's life.
