Chapter 5

They have done everything, prepared everything for the dinner. She was in a panic since it would be a family dinner! Everyone in the family would be there and they are complete!

"That man, he really loves surprises!" Cassandra exclaimed while she was putting her earring on her ear while looking at the mirror. "How can I face them without being nervous?" she cried as she spoke looking at Niani.

"Come on, sister, you can do it. You already met them, well, some of them. Also, Grandfather loves you so, you don't have to be so nervous." She just smiled and stared at her reflection. She then looks at Niani and asks.

"Anyway, how did Jaxon become a billionaire?" Niana smiles and explains.

"Hmm, brother is the son of a Billionaire and the heir to the company that sir Alejandro was holding. Do you remember that he is always trying his best to find his Father? He didn't find him but his father found him. The rest of the story, I think it would be better if it is brother who would explain."

Cassandra slowly nods her head and they start walking out of the bathroom. Jaxon texted Niani that they'll meet in front of the mall where they went shopping and ask for some help with their hair and makeup.

Right after they went out, a shining red car appeared in front of them. Cassandra saw Jaxon sitting in front while texting someone on his phone. The guy notices her staring at him so he takes a look, when she looks away, he smirks and laughs a bit before putting down his phone.

He got out of the car and told Niani that she would be the one to sit in front as he would be sitting beside Cassandra. "Excuse me? I think I should sit with Niani."

He stared at her at first, from head to toe. The dress that she is wearing right now is astoundingly beautiful. Just like before everything just suits her which causes him to flush a bit and be flattered.

"Oh darling, you don't want them to be suspicious about us, right? To make them believe that we fell in love with each other again, we need to do the things that we always do in the past." Cassandra raises her eyebrows and looks at Jaxon. "Don't give me that look, come on, the time is ticking."

Jaxon opened the car door for her. A memory of their past suddenly pops into Cassandra's mind. On how Jaxon would always open the door for her and everything hard for her to open. She breathes in deeply before deciding to enter the car. After that, Jaxon closes the door and sits beside her.

"I hope this won't turn into a disaster, Jax." He looks at her and seriously looks in front of them.

"That won't happen, Cassy."

After a while, Cassandra can already see every person in the dining hall of the mansion, where Jaxon's Father lives. There were about twenty to thirty people since some relatives were here also.

"There are so many," Cassandra mumbles and looks outside from the car's window.

"Grandfather invited them all for this. Last week I told him that I would show him the person that I will marry this week. I didn't think he would really believe what I said so I hurriedly found someone—" he wasn't able to finish his sentence when Niani interjected.

"Oh really, huh?" she giggles causing Jaxon to glare at her that made her laugh, and went out of the car first. Niani understood what Niani wanted to tell but she just let it slide. Thinking that Niani just trying to tease him with her.

"Let's go now, they are waiting for us." Jaxon got out of the car and opened the door for her again. Cassandra also went out and then looked at Jaxon's face smiling at her as if he hadn't even given her a cold treatment earlier before leaving his office.

"This won't take too long, right?"

"Just stay by my side, like you always do, Cassy." She bit her lower lip and held Jaxon's hand. "You'll be okay, Cassy. Don't be nervous. If something will happen, I got your back."

His assurance made Cassandra to gain courage. She deeply breathes in and out before make a smile on her face. "Alright, I am ready," she speaks.

"That's my girl," Jaxon mumbles softly and smiles.

At the moment they started walking, Cassy's heart was racing faster. She just breathed in and out trying to control her emotion but then Jaxon noticed it so he even held her hand tightly, telling her that he'd be just right by her side which made Cassandra calm down.

'Your touch can still make my heart calm down, Jax,' she thought to herself.
