I sat around watching the other witches and warlocks that my mother asked here. They were making the protection portion so they could cast the spell around the pack. I sat around with a bored expression. I was too stuck in watching how my mother acted with Archie. It seems that he hasn't left her side since the meeting. It felt weird watching another male dote on her with so much adoration and affection. He knew the truth about my father, but it didn't stop him from treating her like his queen, like his mate. He seemed to think that he had a real chance with her, and maybe he actually did. I just hope he knew this wasn't a game or some sort of competition between him and my dad.
