My head was throbbing, why the hell I had to face such a situation? Can't I get a simple mate who is a beautiful werewolf from my pack, and who can read, write and speak English? No moon goddess thought of going creative for me. Let's be different with Vinci, let's give him a human mate. Oh! what's fun in just that now? Let's add some spice. Let her be from some farfetched land where they speak some weird language. See now it fun.

I had shifted from my room to my study as my mate was there, and I am sure she won't appreciate my company as yet.

'Relax, it's not that grim of a situation you are in.' Al connoted. 'Have you ever thought about me…She. Doesn't. Have. A. WOLF! Just think about it, whom do I connect with? Where is my mate?' he agonized.

He was right, but I am so not gonna accept it. You can call it Ego, I call it co-existing. 

'There is no point in highlighting who is in the more grave situation. We rather work on solution.' I suggested.

'Your mate, your problem. When you figure out how to communicate with her and tell her who you are and after that, if she is still around…. let me know. I will gladly introduce myself. Until then, do not distribute. He yawned and went to sleep. Bloody bastard.

What can be done? Should I ask bro or dad to help me out...Naaahhh

"Hey buddy, any progress?" Dylan came in my study and asked, picking up an apple from the bowl kept on my table. I looked at him in disbelief.

"What progress? You are asking me? Who is the Alpha here?" I howled and towered over him.

"Y...You" he stuttered, taken back with my sudden outrage.

"And who is the beta? I yelled again.

"M..m..Me?"

"So who will find the solution?" I refuted.

"Me...Me?"

"Good now go and find the solution" 

"Okay...chill...." He went out to come back in 2 minutes. I rolled my eyes at his behavior.

"Where exactly do I go to find the solution?" He probed. I should reconsider my decision of making him my beta.

"Go and find Hunter and Wayne" I scoffed at him.

"They have a solution?" He seemed offended.

I squinted my eyes at him and added a growl for the effect. He dashed out searching for others. After some time, all of them were standing in front of me.

"Did you find anything about the humans who were following her?" I asked Hunter.

"No, but I am working on it." He replied with a long face. We better find the answer. Who is she, where is she from, why goons were chasing her, and what was she doing in the forest? I huffed. It's a long list.

"From her attire and tattoos, I think she belongs to some tribe." Wayne suggested. I figured that.

"Tribal wild girl, huh?" Dylan teased, making me annoyed. 

"Find how many human tribes are there around us, near our territory, and what language they speak. And if possible, please find someone who can speak and understand those languages"

I informed them with frustration.

"Hey guys?" Jia entered my study with her two chipmunks. They ran and settled themselves on my lap. I love these two with my life, they are the cutest thing ever to come in this world. No doubt Kevin is cute too, but well... 

"Vinci..." She said looking everywhere besides at me. Something is wrong.

"Umm... Richie knows... about.... about... Aroha...I didn't tell him, I swear…." she tried to convince me without help. Of course, how can she hide anything from her mate?

"And...ummm"

"Now what?" I growled, making Dani and mini go running towards their mom.

"Luna Joyce also knows." she whispered.

Fcuk...that means the whole pack knows by now.

I glared at Jia.

"Don't look at me like that. I was just in your room to give her breakfast. She was happily playing with Dani and Mini when they both came in, and then I had to...tell ....them." she sighed.

"Vincent Stanford in my office now" Bro called through mind link.

"Great now bro is calling me in his office. Anyway, he would have known. I can't hide her forever. Wayne, come with me, you both keep check on her." Jia gave me a tight lipped smile.

I entered Alpha Richard's office. Mom and dad were already there.

"Warrior Vincent, can you explain why have you sneaked in a human in my pack?"

"She is my Mate" I seethed, clenching my fist. I don't know why I was so angry.

"Weren't you supposed to inform the Alpha or ask his permission before bringing her in our territory, as per the protocol?"

"I informed Luna..."

"Of course you informed Luna. I will deal with her later" he mumbled, the last part making me frown.

"She is not at fault. I asked her to keep the information to herself for the time being and..."

"Look, Vinci, it's dangero..."

"She is not in your room" Wayne mind linked me. 

WHAT? I stood up with concern. Where did she go?

"What happened?" Bro asked. 

"She escaped. She is not in my room" I told him

"Go find her before she witnesses something." He rubbed his brow in apprehension.

I ran out of the office towards my room. As I turned the corner, her scent was the strongest behind me. She was behind me. I knew it, but before I could turn, there was a sharp knife held at my neck.
