Chapter 26 POV Ciaren

POV Ciaren

I had arrived at the meeting late and I was shocked when the queen announced she would have to sleep with one of us and I was even more shocked when she left with Dylan. I wanted to knock him out as he followed her to her bedroom. One of the woman put her hand on my shoulder and whispered “better luck next time Ciaren” so it was hardly a secret that I had feelings for the queen even though I thought I was doing a great job of hiding it. Myself and the Queen had been spending a lot of time together and I got the impression that she kind of liked me too. She was forever resting her hand on my knee or fixing my hair and I loved the attention she was giving me. But every time she told me I was a great friend to her it broke my heart. Even Poppy picked up on it and she asked me if I wanted to marry the Queen. I laughed and said that we were just friends but the truth was that I was desperately in love with her. That night when she went up stairs to her bedroom with Dylan I sat alone outside on the steps with my head in my hands and to my absolute delight I heard howling coming from her bedroom. I jumped to my feet with excitement because I knew that the queen wouldn’t stand for that and that Dylan had lost his chance with her. The next day I heard that she had thrown Dylan out of her bedroom before he had even touched her. I had a huge smile on my face as I joined the line of people outside the kitchen that were waiting to speak to her. It was something that happened every so often. We would all go in separately to chat to her to ask her for whatever we needed and today I wanted to let her know I would sleep with her. I waited patiently as lots of different woman went in and then it was my turn. “Hello Ciaren” she said in her friendly tone that made my legs weak. She was by far the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. Her wonderful smile made me instantly happy. “How is little Poppy? What can I do for you today?” She asked as she rolled out pie pastry. “I wanted to apologise for being late last night to the meeting and to let you know I’d be happy to sleep with you. I heard it didn’t work out with Dylan and I wanted you to know that I would have volunteered right away if I would have been on time” One of her woman let out a giggle and the queen smiled. “ Ladies would you mind giving us some privacy” All the women left the kitchen except for Cherry. As they left one of them leaned in close to me and whispered “it’s about bloody time. I always knew you liked each other” The woman’s words made me blush and when they had left the Queen stoped what she was doing and she finally spoke “Ciaren thank you so much, I do appreciate it, but the leader Andy has already volunteered his services” Cherry must have saw the hurt in my face because she said “why don’t you sleep with both of them, not at the same time obviously, it can’t hurt to be extra careful” the queen took a moment then said “you’re right, why don’t you come up to my bedroom in about an hour” I was stunned. I didn’t know what to say when two women burst in the kitchen door “Queenie, Christopher was spotted out side the gates late last night and he was howling.” “Ciaren you better go” she said as they dragged Christopher into the kitchen. I looked back as the door closed and I could see the queen go towards him and it made me shudder. She could be the most gentle loving person one moment and turn into a dictator the next. But I couldn’t think about that right now, I was about to have s*x with the woman of my dreams and I couldn’t let anything get in the way of that.
