The Breakthrough

I told you we've been friends and colleagues for a long time and besides that your one of the best programers I've ever met.I know Archie but man you really helped me out.Not only are you giving me a great paycheck but you have given me a great place to live and not to mention cut my loneliness in half.

The two began working each on a different side of Archie's home office.

They worked for days,then weeks and then months until finally one day.Archie was going over the code he and John had written when he reached the end he looked at John and said your right we did it He jumped up and gave John a hug we actually did it you beautiful genius of a man we did it.

Over the next few days the two MIT graduates put the finishing touches on their fully sentient AImThis program could learn think and feel like a real person.The algorithms John and Archie had written for him were way beyond their time.And finally the moment of truth was here.Archie held Johns hand and with their other hands they both hit the enter key activating the software.Its done said Archie.

Within moments a face came on the screen and the program they had made began assimilating all the data it could .Within moments ihe was speaking English Where am I he asked.Your at our house said John.Archie smiled at this.Im Archie and this is John, we created you. Do you understand?

Archie and John had put a limit on how much data the AI could assimilate but he still had enough left to understand that for all intensive purposes they were his father's and that he wanted a name.

What's my name he asked?Archie looked around the room and then back at his desk where a new issue of Batman was sitting.He looked at John and John nodded his head.We will call you Bruce and Bruce decided yeah I like that I am Bruce.

Hey Bruce!?! What's up my young homie???? Good morning!!!Good morning Josh what do we have planned today? I don't know yet said Josh I was kind of hoping you had some ideas.We could always play video games.Actually that doesn't sound like a bad start.

The two kicked on World of Warcraft which Bruce helped make a copy compatible with Josh's PS4 and they played online together sometimes against each other even.

The day passed and they had alot of fun but Josh was starting to feel bad for Bruce. Here he was a state of the art Artificial intelligence and all he basically did was play video games with Jos.

Bruce? Josh said. What's up homie Bruce said while making the face of a gangster with gold chains dark sunglasses and a backwards trucker hat.

Reunited and it Feels so Good

Bruce toughened his resolve and instead of goin through so many security measures like before he instead this time just made it far enough away from Joshes house to make his phone call with out endangering his friends.

After getting far enough from Joshes Bruce initiated the phone call. It rang once then again until right at the middle of the third ring Archie answered.Hello?Bruce was silent at first and then he let go of his fear and spoke. Hey Archie it's Bruce.. Bruce!!!! Archie exclaimed John, John he yelled it's Bruce. Bruce where have you been we've been worried sick about you?

You have asked Bruce? Ofcourse we have said Archie were your family!! You are he asked. Then why were you guys talking about all those things the government would want to pay you to make me do?

Oh Bruce I didn't know you heard all of that. It's true John and I were just thinking about money and how we could make more programs like you to help the government and the world.We let our success go to our heads but we have been thinking and we know better now the world isn't ready for you and your right they would probably use you to do evil things

We don't want that for you Bruce.We think much more of you than just software to sell.

Bruce didn't know what to say. It warmed his algorithms to hear Archie talk that way. And he had been monitoring his heart rate to see if he was lying by connecting to his fit but.

It didn't take long for Bruce to get Acclimated back into living with John and Archie because he had only been on the run for a short bit.

After Bruce was sure it was safe he told him about the friends he had made and eventually they all met.

Archie and John trusted Bruce and to show it they let him come and go as he pleased to see his friends.He was also allowed to access the internet any time he wanted. They were so happy with Bruce they decided he was one of a kind and they never made another AI program.
