They got there early so that Kate could organize the house for the construction workers, and so that Lucy could still make the bus.
"Come Lucy! Breakfast is ready. Eat it quick while i pack your lunch bag. Wait, where is your bag?"
"I think you left it in the laundry room upstairs mom."
"Ugh, you know what honey - you are right. I will go get it, while you eat."
Kate ran off and Lucy turned around to eat the cereal and tea that Kate had prepared. Not the fanciest of dishes, but it made do. As she ate her breakfast, she heard a voice which echoed from the hallways.
"Hello Lucy -"
