Apparently, Xanders are a civilization of high tech creatures that exist within the multi verse. They came to earth many years ago, with the intention of conquering our planet. They destroyed numerous planets before that, and the method they used to achieve world domination, was to find the jackpot. You have to go around finding all of the orbs to create a finalized product, which is specifically designed to wipe out the civilization that occupies that specific earth.
The whole objective, was to have the Xanders keep this secret to themselves, and not let the people who live there, disrupt the hunt.
