Hearing the mind link that Maya had sent me, threw me off. I was talking with Alpha Dorian when it hit. He had just told me Luna Lacy had gone missing. That rogue smell had been in the packhouse.
"Maya is in trouble," I had roared turning from Alpha Dorian to run towards the trees. I shifted ripping my clothes as I went past the barn. I saw Mortou come out, noticing my wolf running, ragged cloth still falling off me. I felt his power shift. The ground behind me shook as I knew he was following. It was like I had a tractor beam on her. I knew right where she was. I heard her distant yell, running harder I found the clearing they were at and shifted to stand behind the man who said he would touch my woman. I snapped his neck without a thought.
