Two days later Jack and Nickili have set up a party so the packs can get to know each other. This party must go well. Living this close to each other, it's important for the packs to get along. The sun has just set, and the moon is full. There's a sense of excitement in the air. The park at the edge of town has been decorated. There's a place for people to sit and eat, play games, and a dance floor. Jack is dancing with Olivia, my sister-in-law. She's smiling for the first time in a long while. When Steve was killed, she went into a deep depression; we didn't know if she would make it for a while. Steve would want her to be happy, even if that was with a new mate. I just wish it was with someone in my pack. I'm lost in thought when Alessia grabs my hand and drags me to the dance floor. I don't want to cause a scene, so I go with it. "I forgive you," She says sweetly. She's wearing a little deep blue dress that's oddly the same color as my shirt. The dress barely covers her oversized breast and her ass. "Forgive me for what?" I ask. I'm feeling uncomfortable with her closeness. She whispers into my ear as she presses her body into me, "For f*****g Snow, silly. I know she was in heat, and you couldn't help yourself." This woman is out of her mind. I can sense Snow nearby. I spot her instantly in the crowd along the dance floor. Her beautiful long white hair is pulled back with a few loose hairs framing her face. She's wearing a tight black dress that goes down to her knees and a necklace covering my mark. It makes me angry that she covered it up and at the same time, my pants get tight just thinking about when I gave it to her. Snow's eyes are on me, and she doesn't look happy. When Alessia feels my package on her stomach she leans in and whispers again, "Would you like to go somewhere, so we can be alone." This package isn't for her. The thought of being with Alessia turns my stomach. "No, Alessia, I would not. Now, if you would excuse me." She clutches my hand tightly as I'm about to walk away. She Looks in the direction I was headed and see's, Snow. "I understand how important it is for both packs to get along. Don't worry about a thing. I'll talk to Snow and smooth things over. I'm sure she will understand" I don't know what she's talking about. Normally I'd push her away but I don't want to make a scene. In a few seconds, I'm standing in front of Snow with a smiling Alessia on my arm. I don't think this night can get any worse. I'm gonna have to do something with Alessia when we get back to the packhouse. This behavior is unacceptable. "Hi, Snow, I was hoping to run into you here," Alessia says politely. "O, and why is that?" Snow asks with an indifferent look. Alessia leans into me as if we're a couple. As I'm untangling myself from this mad woman she says. "O, you know. For you and Stephan sleeping together. I know it was just the heat that he was reacting to, not you. I was angry at first, but we worked it out, and we are stronger than ever." She says loud enough for other people to hear. "I didn't know you two were a couple," Jane, Max's mate says. Jane is standing next to Snow. I didn't even notice her until she spoke. I don't know Jane well, but I'm guessing from the look on her face she isn't pleased either. After I get a few feet from her I spot David in the crowd and singly him over. I'll have him get Alessia out of here as soon as possible so I can fix this I don't care if he has to throw her over his shoulder at this point. Before he gets here Alessia continues ignoring me when I tell her to shut up. "Yes, we've been dating for a while now. I thought I lost my Stephan to Snow when she seduced him. I know now he would never leave me for her. I don't even know why I was upset. She's not even a pure-blooded wolf." she looks at Snow. "No offense, Snow. I'm sure you understand as the alpha, he needs to keep his bloodline strong." Alessia says innocently. Snow lets out a deadly low growl. "No, I don't understand," Snow says The music stops, and everyone is staring; some even look angry. I was wrong, my night can get worse, much worse. Nickili, Aden, and Jack are beside us trying to smooth things over the crowd. While Garth is standing in front of Snow protectively. "Everyone will have to excuse Alessia. She starts talking crazy when she has too much to drink," Nickili says with a nervous laugh. It's not working. Alessia playfully slaps Nickili's arm "O, stop you silly bear. You know I don't drink." David finally makes his way over and has a firm grip on Alessia's upper arm but before he can escort her back to the packhouse Snow steps out from behind Garth. "Alessia, you may have forgotten, but the Hybrid Moon pack is made up of mostly mixed shifters. You have not only insulted me but my pack. From here on forth, Alessa, you are banned from my pack's land and town." Snow says with her alpha voice I've never heard her use while her face is void of emotion. "The party is over. You and your pack should leave." Jack yells to the crowd impatiently. I don't think I have ever seen that bear more serious. My pack members look at me questingly they don't take orders from anyone but me. I give them the single to leave; I'm not looking for a fight with Snow's pack. The crowd dissipates quickly. David and two other my wolves are escorting a protesting Alessia out of here before she can do any more damage. "Snow, can we talk in private?" I can feel her anger and hurt throw our partial link. "You haven't changed a bit," she said. When she walks away. I try to go after her, but Jack, Garth, and Shariff Lio block my way. "Look, guys, I don't want any trouble. I just need to talk to her for a minute. Everything Alessia said is untrue." I growl, trying not to take out my anger for Alessia on three alphas, It's not their fault she's crazy. "I suggest you and your pack stay out of town for a few days to let things cool off," Leo the towns sharif says. Looking me in the eye. Not afraid of me one bit. I briefly wonder how a pack with so many alphas works. In most packs there's the Alpha of the pack, sometimes the bata is an alpha who doesn't want the responsibility of running the pack, and then there are the Alphas sons and most of them start their own pack like I did when there old enough. Snows pack has at least four alphas that are happy to follow her. I guess only a woman like Snows can have so many alphas follow her, my respect only grows for her. I can see I'll get nowhere with them tonight. Now is not the time to push. Nickilli is standing beside the car with his arms crossed, looking very angry. The only time I've seen him angrier was when my sister was in trouble before they mated. I've seen him take out at least six wolves on his own. He doesn't say a word until we are on the road. "What the hell was that Stephan! You know I have a lot of family in that pack," he says as he hits the steering wheel. "You know everything Alessia said isn't true, right?" I say as I lean my head back against the headrest. How can things get so f****d up, so fast? "We have to do something to fix this. Stephan, If this thing goes south, Lilly and I will leave the pack and move up north. I will not fight with my family." he says. "I understand," I say. I've always known that was a possibility. "Stephan, as your beta, brother-in-law, and friend, I have to be honest with you. You will not win if there's a war. We have strong fighters, and against any standard pack, we would win, but the Hybrid pack isn't standard. They are bigger than you think. They have shifters we haven't even seen who like to keep to themselves but they'll fight if it comes down to it. Hell, they have a dragon, for goddess sake! The twins, Max, and Snow were forced to cage fight when they were captured by the E. They have mad fighting skills. Hell, you saw what Snow did when she was challenged by that wolf. She took him down in one move. We need to fix this and fix it fast." he says as he speeds down the highway. I hate to admit it but Nickili is right. If it was our pack against their pack we would lose but he forgets we have more allies than Snow's pack. Even with just my brother's pack, we would outnumber them two to one but I don't tell him that I'm not gonna let this get that far. "We'll send Alessia to my brother's pack," I say as we pull into our long drive. "Ya, that's a good idea, and maybe a large donation to the school and town. That should help the situation. I'll call Jack as soon as we get home." Nickili says with resolve. When we pull up, Alessia is waiting on the steps, crying. With David standing at the door, not impressed with her act. As I step out of the car, she runs up to me, saying, "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean any harm." When she tries to put her arms around me. I give a menacing alpha growl, she stops in her tracks and bows her head in submission. "How many times do I have to tell you I'm not interested in you. Do you have any idea what you have done by insulting them?" I growled. "It's not my fault that they get offended so easily by the truth. Purebloods are better and stronger. I know you agree. Snow and her pack are just a bunch of outcast mutts." Alessia says with disgust. The smell of her fear is thick in the air. "Watch what you say. The only outcast mutt I see around here is you. You are cast out of the Phoenix pack and will be sent to another," I growl. "You can't, we're true mates! I love you!" I look at David and say as calmly as I can, "lock her in her room for the rest of her stay here." He gives me one nod and throws Alessia over his shoulder and walks into the house.
