Arc 3 - Chapter 2: Sympathy and Compassion

"These corrupted is a little bit troublesome."

"Everything still good ?"

"I managed."

"Don't worry, we will help, Tomoe."

Somehow, we still forgot some corrupted creature, maybe after this journey have so many purpose afterall, at least for now our priority is finding a way to cleanse Soleil out of these creature. We faced some corrupted creature, Koll can take all of them but somehow they are fortified, these creature we faced are much more powerful. Even Alria's power of reinforcement have no effect on these creature, maybe because they have more time to absorbing the corruption. 

"Tomoe, let shift our tactics."

"On your command."

Instead of focus on defense, this time we decided to attack, my movement reshape water into smaller blade, this will be easier to pierce the hard skin on those creature. Tomoe conjure water and i am the one who reshape it with the song, along with that is the reinforcement from Alria we managed to defeat the creature with one strike from Koll. Sometime i still question, who are they, no normal person can be that strong. 

"We are almost there, it should take another night for us to reach their mansion."

"Tell me a little bit more about them."

And the story started, there are four nobles of the kingdom, from the birth of the first Soleilian, the god blessing this country with geniuses like Alria's mother. Maybe the course of fate or not, five nobles became the hand, the blade, the shield, the heart and the soul of the country. By their decision, the heart became the royal of the country while the hand, the blade, the shield and the soul protect it. The capital keep moving forward, the direction is only one city but like every other human, Soleilian also have envy and pride. There are those who wanted to rule so they left the city and became a noble but their land never can compete Tyerran, before that state of Tyerran, the shield request to left Tyerran not to form their own territory but to guard this land. According to the words of the head of the shield, a great calamity is coming and they need to concentrate everything to protect this land.

"By now you can guess it, the soul is the Naudé family working on spreading faith and virtue around Tyerran, the hand is the Giselbert family and finally the blade is the Abrelard family. You must guess the shield by now."

"The Yhaeon."

"If i am correct, they are still sealing that outer force that brought great danger by now."

"That is not the organization i am talking about ?"

"I think that is them, we may struggle in our battle with them but the Yhaeon, we can say that is not an equal, if the Yhaeon use all of their power, the world is not on the same level with them but of course because of that great danger they can't do much to help us."

"So why do we request them on governing the lands ?"

"The Yhaeon family have a lot of students follow their teaching, those i request to govern the land are those students."

"If that is your decision then i believe you, you are one of their students after all, that mean their teaching is not just power."

A family even the king have to respect, can i make friend with them like making friend with other nobles, mysterious yet powerful people. It could be a nice to get along with more people, making friends along this wonderful and mysterious journey in another world. So many things to do in this journey but never forget our conviction, to find our true memories and found our happiness but i was with them ?

"We are here."

In front of us is the mansion of the Yhaeon's family, even the gate shown the fact it is not belong to this world, these design i never seen before. The doors open and we entered the garden with countless type of flowers, in the middle of the garden is some other children, look like they are learning something, maybe something about nature. The children look at us but they didn't care and they continue to research on the flowers. A voice appear in my head.

"Come and meet me at the main office, and please, don't wandering around."

Of course we are not rude people, and afterall, we are only guests in his mansion and since he is the most powerful person here, he can throw us out of his house if he wanted to. We walked along the hall of the mansion and encounter a lot of other students, they look at us for a bit then goes back to focus on what they are doing. We reach the door of the mansion a voice from inside speak to us.

"Brothers, there is no need for further disguise."

After the voice, Koll and Devaro are glowing, their human form soon break and turned into a lion beastman and a wolf beastman. We entered the room, inside the room is a lot of small orb inside are creatures and a lot of reflections of many dimension, inside the room is a boy lying with his back on a polar bear and a white tiger lying over his leg. Recognize our appearance, the boy standing up, the tiger and the polar bear changed into their beastman form.

"Welcome guests and king Alria of Soleil, i am your host, Orlios Yhaeon. Welcome to the mansion of the Yhaeon's family, since our father isn't here, we will be your host."

"So Koll and Devaro ?"

"Since the moment your feet touch on the ground of this world, i can sense everything from you and of course, i sent Hank and Karlos to assist you a little bit and where is my manner, these are my older brothers."

The lion beastman named Hank, he is the tallest person in all of them with a bright red mane he put up a good disguise, his personality is much calmer than Koll. The white tiger introduced himself, his name is Hakku, a very gentle person and he can make we feel very pleasant, not the way he speak or act but his appearance in here is enough. His appearance give the room an atmosphere like a bright and full moon night, his power a little like my power combine with Tomoe. If the white tiger is calm, gentle and always taking care of Orlios, the polar bear is even more caring, he always put Orlios on his shoulder, Orlios called him Sven so i guess that is his name. The last one is Karlos a wolf beastman, Devaro is a calm and collected person but Karlos is just dangerous, we felt like we can become his prey anytime.

"So, any reason for the king of Soleil to come and meet us ?"

"Again, i need your family's aid again, i need your students to taking the place of noble of many other regions."

"I guess we can do that but again we told you before, why did you choose those people to be the noble, you know so well the fact everything will happen like this. The apple doesn't fall far from the tree, why did you choose the child of those noble."

"You know that if you in my situation, there are so much grief, so much that all i did is ignore the reality and just let anything happen the way everything should be."

"So what changed you ?"

"Everyone, the war, the threat from Altoris, this journey, when i can see people pain and struggle. I learned the fact that i am a king now, not my father, accept the reality that he's gone, i have to move forward."

"Your pain is far too great for you to bear but with your allies, sooth your own pain and move forward, the struggle can help people learned the to treasure the moment of bliss. Back to our problem, i can help you with that, Hakku, can you go and tell these students to come to our office ?"

Hakku took the list, a little surprise but he leave the room without any question, a list of people who can be the new nobles of Soleil. Will the tragedy repeat or this would be a new day for Soleil, but i believe people from the house of Yhaeon is different from those noble. The house of Yhaeon, a record from Aethelred, the house of Yhaeon exist before the founding of Soleil, the record said they are the first to reach harmony. Students of the house also follow this philosophy of harmony and respect toward each other, that is the reason why the house of Yhaeon only open their doors for those who chosen by them.

"Headmaster, you call for us ?"

"Yes, perfect timing everyone, my brother informed about our guest right ?"

"Yes, we received his words. My grace, i am Merce Yhaeon, leader of the Azure Light, these are my assistants."

There are six persons in Merce team, their last name are Yhaeon, their explaination is the fact that they are orphan and they are adopted by the previous head of the Yhaeon. Merce's team is amazing i have to say that, their knowledge and everything prove the fact they belong to this house, much like the philosophy of the house, they also believe in harmony. While i was thinking, Alria is amazed, is there something special about Merce ?

"So you are still learning in the house."

"Different from you my grace, i am an orphan without any goal or purpose rather than finding knowledge within the golden pages."

"You know her ?"

"We were close friend when i follow Orlios's father under his teaching."

"That's enough of explaination my grace, i thought great lord Alma's lesson taught us everything, and you are still here, talking like this."

"Like what Merce, you are the one who respect harmony, how could you think like that about how i can act, what is a king to you. I don't know how do you think about nobles and kings but to me those are just titles of responsibility. I don't care about the power of those titles, what is a king and a noble, you are still here because you didn't understand the truth of that lesson from great lord Alma."

"I don't ?"

"No, you only see the tip of the iceberg, you only see order and places and that is your harmony, my harmony is the future where noble and commoner can walk on the street together, greeting each other. That is the future i wanted to see, you are not wrong lord Alma's lesson is about the power of an emperor but do you truly understand the truth."

"So all of that knowledge, all for nothing ?"

"You finally understand the truth, the house of Yhaeon is based on harmony but what you understand is order and places. That is not sympathy, that is the same as the will of those people out there, those who want to use their power to change the mind of other. But to me everything i wanted is here, Alria you have a kingdom out there to taking care of but i only need my family."

"And to you that is harmony ?"

"Have a word with me ?"

"I think we should let two of them have some of their own spaces. Beside, i want to talk to you about sympathy."

"Just with me ?"

"I want to talk to your brothers too if that is fine with you."

"Of course we have no trouble with that, let's go to the garden."

We left the room and made to garden, Hakku prepare for us some herbal tea and his rule already applying to the garden, making it a beautiful starry night on an empty plain. The garden, the flower even the scent, everything reflect a beautiful night, is this truly an illusion, can my rule reach this.

"Don't worry, people need time to become stronger and you are not an exception, our power are not something you can't have. Everyone of us can see your power, the power of creativity, you have more friend than anyone, what you need now is to trust your closest friend, forming a bond together."

"But your power, i can sense somthing greater."

"Of course, each of us represent something for our brother, Hank is courage, Sven is caring, Karlos is determination and i am gentle. That is the part of the contract that filled us with the determination to protect him, each of us full filled a role to protect our beloved little brother."

"As you can see here, our bond is what make us stronger, it is not important the fact how many person you can form a bond with. The only thing important is how deep that bond is, remember, both of you are best friend, but that can be so much more."

"Headmaster, they are coming."

"I got that, brothers, we thing to do and do you want to come with us Higeki ? Maybe this is something you can see, what we faced against, the terror beyond this world."

To face the fear from the world beyond this world, i need to know what is it so i can prepare for the what we faced against. The world protector is Orlios but what happen if he is no longer with us, we must armed ourselves for the future with these creature exist in my future home. Maybe they also have a fragment of our memories.
