Project Schemer - Salvatore Trilogy: Prelude

Arc 1 - Chapter 4.5: Midnight storybook: Soleil's grand revolution.

"Tomorow we will meet other noble i presume ?"

"Yes, the Giselbert and the Naudé, they are noble yet they are also human, since their grand masters are quite old so they acting quite like my father."

"Then how should i act, your father is quite unpredictable and i took a while for me to come up with a perfect course of action."

"Well, how about stop being so tense, you are a musician right ? Act like when you perform that song, with a song that even touch the god then i guess a right action should be the last thing you should worry about. They quite like oversized children so don't worry."

"You keep speaking about the fact they acting like children then i guess you are right."

"Now just get some rest okay ? And Tomoe, thank you for your arrival today."

"No, it is because of Higeki's song, he helped me break free from that black box."

After Siorre left, we lit up the light again, Tomoe and I take the book i borrow from the library, the title of the book is Great Soleil Rebellion. Tale from legend can be magnify but this is a world of magic, everything can be accepted somehow. The warm orange light from the magic lamp allow us to see every detail of the book, the book is not too thick so we may finish this story in a night. People in the city went to bed earlier than people in the village and much sooner than people in the old world. But i can't judge that, everyone have their own behaviour.

"I don't know about everything in this world but to explore something new with you is an enjoyable experience."

"Well then, let's begin."

Chapter 1: The canary prince.

Our story begin a long long time ago, when our beloved kingdom Soleil drown in darkness and fear, the ruling tyrant spreading his fear toward everyone. The emperor is known for his cruelty toward everyone but toward his son is a different thing, their relationship is complicated, the emperor care for his son but still cold toward him. It is said that the king cold and cruelty behaviour come from his own tragedy but it is also the fault of our father. The king suffer too much that he became cruel, it is our fault that we put him in his current state.

The prince's existance only known in legend, someone said he wandering in the empty castle, someone said he always stay in his room try to find a way to make his father open his heart, someone even say only the prince and his father in the castle, there is no other servant or guard. 

But the prince never try to escape the castle, he stays back with his father but one day the tragedy came. 

Chapter 2: The truth.

The cold and distant act of the king give the nobles a chance for the rebellion, the king is cold and cruel but his policy still develop the country. The children of Soleil is taught by their parent that the king action is natural. It is because we push him on his edge, it is because we took away the thing he cares the most, and that enrage the king, even a king have to sacrifice everything for their people but we took too much from him. Still the rebel arrive to the capital, people are torn into two sides.

Witness his people for the first time, the king know what he had to do, a grand spell. A spell that took away his own life, he don't want a war so an old spell teleport every of his supporter out of the city. The prince is sent away and lost in history. The spell never took his the king's life but it imprison him in an unbreakable casket, he lived in his world he always wanted, a world of absolute solitude, faraway beyond our world.

With the king's disappearance, the noble took over the kingdom by default but the kingdom is empty, its resources, the king's loyal servant, his people. All of them disappear, he left them a legacy for their treason. But the longer i read the record in people house of the city i know something, the king was never cruel, he is cold but his decision always think for his people and his son. And the people choose to sacrifice and suffer in another word, devotion. That is the reason why the capital blooming

Chapter 3: Kingdom fall.

The nobles were worst than the emperor, they are nothing but a bunch of greedy man, after discover the curse of the emperor they furious. They can't get anything or harvest anything in the kingdom in another word, they are powerless. The land is corrupted, the royal's treasury is empty, now when they forsaken their land and their life and forcing people to follow them. The rebellion is over but with what price, their life is ruined because of greed, people doubting their king and doubt is the seed of ruin. 

After ten years nothing changed, people don't even have strenght for another rebel, they accept this life while the noble can't do anything. Darkness, disease and crime is something they get used to, the emperor judgement is harsh but we are sinner, we betrayed the king, we trust the wrong people while the emperor is the only person we can trust. Now we know why he hide his feeling, to make the judgement for a better future even when that judgement cause him to sacrifice so much. 

Our empress pass away so fast, she sacrifice herself to stop an unknown force from attacking our country and then the prince, sacrifice his vision to trade for us a future. The queen sacrifice and the prince lost of vision give all of us the protection we need to fend off ourselves against the darkness beyond this world.

The nobles are corrupted and that corruption spread deeper in their heart and i can see that corruption shown on their skin. They changed, that could be the darkness that the queen and the prince shield us from. with the king judgement, they are the first to affect by those darkness. Looking at them i saw nothing but disgust, their corruption also tell me something, that i need to find the prince, i need to beg for his forgiveness. The prince is the only one who can save us.

Chapter 4: The prince of fleeting hope.

We can't do anything anymore, the corruption spread through the capitol, the noble are good for nothing. In the end they are turned into the worst version of themself, god of greed, god of gluttony, god of pride, they are nothing more than sinner. Start from these part i used my magic with the role of a recorder to write what i can tell, i used a form of potion to petrify most of my body, with that i can stop the corruption from reaching me. In the end i can't find the prince. The kingdom filled with darkness. It is the truth then, it is the sin of our father that torment generations.

Five years, fifteen years, i don't remember, maybe century i trapped in this form, witness everything around me slowly rotten. O my prince, forgive us for our crime of treason, we were foolish, we were outsider who only think that we are right. We thought we were right to be those who sit on the throne, but we won't blame you if you don't return to us, the royal family sacrifice so much. And now, it is our time.

Light... for how long, light in my eye, the stone crust slowly removed and i saw the prince return, a blindfold on his eyes while three nobles stand by his side, behind him is an army. Our blind prince has returned, so will this be our salvation, the army swept through the city, every place the prince touch, darkness perish. In just five days the city is cleanse out of corruption and the only place left is the castle, where the corrupted noble live and where his father slumber.

The prince with his awakened power cleanse the castle, the darkness taking over the noble vanish, everything is beautiful again but not yet. Prince Alria's duty is rebuild this kingdom but I believe he will be great.

"That's tonight story, it is kind of short for a normal story don't you think ? Tomoe ?"

"I don't know but this is my first story, but something this short is really wierd."

"Oh, of course, this is not my intention, i am not telling you a story but sending you a message, for the rest of the story you have to ask the emperor yourself. My job is to watch everything happen after all, but let's back to the main thing we should discuss."

"Yes, who are you ?"

"How rude of me, well, i am Charle, one of the magician of the West Edolin, at your service. Of course you thought this is strange but we all know you, every people live in Edolin because our ruler, lady Deora is the one who invite you to this realm."

"Interesting and send her my word, i am greatful for everything she done for us but is it too harsh when she throw me into this world with just some clothing ?"

"I thought that too but when i see your performance i know one thing, you have power inside you. It is sleeping that's all. When you truly see the truth of both world, that is the moment you truly awake. So i believe you can see everything. Continue your path."

The voice disappear and the book true name reveal. There is nothing special about it but this mysterious magician, i want to see him one more time. We turn off the light and fell asleep under the beautiful starry night and gentle breeze of a quiet night.
