Meanwhile,
Diana and Sam started walking back to their home. It was getting rather late and both of them knew their father would be really worried about them..He had turned like this ever since their mother died.
So they decided to hurry back home. Diana missed her mother terribly , and sometimes she still found it very hard to accept the fact that her mother was gone.
It has been about twelve years now and it still felt like it was yesterday . She was very close to her mother amongst her siblings and she didn't know why.....but she felt they were more alike ....like their aura.
But still, she also finds it quite weird they don't really look alike aside from their hair colour, but when it comes to character....they were completely opposite ....
Her mother was calm and collected, she would always scold her due to her naughtiness and playfulness, but aside from that, her mother loved her very much.
Then she felt a drop of water on her cheek. She immediately looked up and noticed that the weather seemed to have changed quite drastically.
It was sunny before. She wondered how she never even noticed the storm....it seemed to have come out of nowhere...'weird'. She thought
She was suddenly pulled out of her thoughts when she felt her brother pulling her to hasten her steps.
" Diana , stop day dreaming and run ....a storm is coming " yelled Sam. And then Sam gave her an incredulous look and mumbled under his breath " I wonder what has gotten into her today.....always spacing out"
Though he said it softly , Diana still heard it and immediately flushed, reminded of the reason why she was indeed spacing out, which was due to a particular someone.
She immediately shook her head and hastened her steps. She didn't want the rain pouting on her, she would look all wet ....for some odd reason....she didn't like the rain...which was weird ...cause who wouldn't like the rain..
By the time they reached midway, the rain was already pouring heavily .....they managed to get home yet they were all soaked up....and awaiting them at the door was no one else than their father.
' We are soo dead' thought Diana.
"Father....." started Sam.
" get in and clean up....I don't have time to listen to your made-up excuses....you both must be feeling cold " said Mr Sparrow.
He immediately huddled them into the house and closed the door. He was angry and he wanted to reprimand them, but he didn't.
He knew he was just being paranoid ...he was also aware that they weren't kids anymore, but he just couldn't let them go ......especially with how everything was going.
The days weren't safe anymore , especially with Diana......he had thought they would be safe here but it seems they weren't.
He didn't know for how long he would have to keep the secret.
He had promised his wife , his eyes dimmed remembering her
He truly missed her , he loved her very dearly and didn't even think he could live without her, but he seemed to have survived these years now without her, but he knew it was because of his kids.....especially Diana ....
He had to protect her from the outside world...it wasn't safe for her.
And it was best she didn't know about it, knowing his daughter she would most likely want to find out more and that would endanger her .
No .....he had to keep her far away from the truth. The truth had already taken his wife away from him...he couldn't lose his daughter either.
He needed to do something....but what?
" Diana....as from now..I don't want to see you going anywhere farther than this village ...I don't even want you near the forest ...besides, I found a very good suitor for you...you should try to be more lady like ...you would be a mother some day" said Mr Sparrow
Diana, who was already making her way to the room, immediately turned. She was shocked ....she didn't expect her dad to find a suitor for her this quick...she was still seventeen and she wasn't ready ....because she loved someone else ...
" No, father, I don't want to get married now....please don't marry me off" said Diana, almost in tears.
Sam wasn't sure what to do, it was quite true ...and also it isn't a surprise that a woman at eighteen,, being married off early , that was the way things were done ....but he wasn't sure he was ready to release Diana and, more so he knew for once that Diana wasn't going to be happy about an arranged marriage
She was more into falling in love with someone and the happily ever after type..though it seems odd due to her personality.
" Father , please reconsider....give her some more time .....we both know Diana isn't ready for marriage and she is just going to clock eighteen" pleaded Sam.
Immediately , Emma also came out ...which was a shock ...none of them seemed to have noticed her presence.
" Please, father, don't let Diana go away" Emma weeped.
Their father was torn. He also wasn't ready to marry Diana off, but he couldn't think of any other thing ...if she didn't get married now and move far away from here .
He would come looking for her . He had the feeling he was very close by....and he wasn't sure how much he would have to stall
But it was inevitable.....
He signed. He couldn't tell them no, but it was also unevitable.......maybe be could stall a bit more.
He loved them dearly and he also didn't want Diana gone .
To be honest with himself, everyone who had shown an interest in Diana...he had made sure to tell them off .
" OK....but Diana, I don't want you anywhere near the forest....it is very dangerous these days" warned Mr Sparrow.
Immediately Diana nodded and hugged her father.
" Thank you very much, father" cried Diana.
Her father petted her head and her siblings all joined in the family hug.
"I love you all, but Diana and Sam....you guys really need to get changed " Mr Sparrow said jokingly.
They all laughed, releasing themselves and went to their respective rooms to get changed.
Mr Sparrow's gaze kept following Diana....they always had this uncanny resemblance ...not their faces but their hair and their aura....it felt like he was seeing his wife again but a different character entirely .
And that made him scared. Diana is very stubborn and can also be very impulsive sometimes, which made her more similar to him.
And that made him more scared because he couldn't help but wonder if she would turn out to be like him.
