I walked into the cottage, and Grandma was sitting on the couch, looking concerned. "Where were you last night?" she asked, her voice firm but laced with worry.
I hesitated for a moment before responding, "I was out with some friends. We were just hanging out and lost track of time."
Grandma raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "Friends? What friends?"
I shrugged, trying to play it cool. "Just some people from school. We were studying for a test and lost track of time."
Grandma nodded, seeming to accept my explanation. Then I decided to ask her something that had been on my mind.
"Grandma, can werewolves and vampires be friends?" I asked, my eyes locked onto hers.
Grandma's expression changed in an instant. She gave me a hard stare, her eyes narrowing slightly. "What makes you ask that, Luna?" she replied, her voice firm.
I hesitated, unsure of how to respond. But Grandma's expression told me that she already knew the answer. "Just something I was wondering," I said, trying to sound nonchalant.
Grandma sighed, her expression softening slightly. "Luna, werewolves and vampires have been sworn enemies for centuries. They're natural predators of each other, and their kind has been at war for so long that it's almost instinctual for them to hate each other. It's not safe for either of them to be friends or be together."
I felt a pang of disappointment, but I knew that Grandma was trying to protect me. "Why is that?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Grandma's expression turned somber. "It's because of the way they're wired, Luna. Vampires are predators, and werewolves are their natural prey. It's a deadly combination, and it's not something that can be changed.Vampires hate werewolf we too have the same feelings, werewolves are more powerful and stronger than vampires, that why Vampires are motivated to kill us because we are stronger than them"
I nodded, feeling a sense of understanding. But I couldn't shake the feeling that Grandma didn't know everything about Kael. And I was determined to find out more.
I nodded, taking in Grandma's words. I knew that she was trying to protect me, but I couldn't help feeling drawn to Kael. I thought about the way he made me feel, the way he looked at me, and the way he seemed to understand me in a way that no one else did.
"Grandma, I understand what you're saying," I said, trying to choose my words carefully. "But what if there's someone who doesn't fit the mold? What if there's a vampire who doesn't want to hurt me, who wants to be friends?"
Grandma's expression softened slightly, and she looked at me with a mix of concern and curiosity. "Luna, I'm not sure that's possible," she said gently. "Vampires are what they are. They have certain... instincts that can't be changed. And even if they could, there's the matter of the Order of the Dawn to consider."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued. "The Order of the Dawn?" I repeated. "What's that?"
Grandma's expression turned serious. "The Order of the Dawn is a group of humans who have dedicated themselves to eradicating supernatural creatures like vampires and werewolves. They're a powerful and ruthless organization, and they'll stop at nothing to achieve their goals."
I felt a shiver run down my spine as I listened to Grandma's words. I had no idea that there were people out there who hated supernatural creatures so much that they would want to eradicate them. And I couldn't help but wonder what this meant for Kael and me.
"Grandma, I think I need to tell you something," I said, hesitating. "I think I've met someone. Someone who's a vampire."
Grandma's eyes locked onto mine, and I could see the concern etched on her face. "Luna, I don't know what to say," she said slowly. "I'm worried about you, and I don't want you to get hurt."
I nodded, feeling a lump form in my throat. I knew that Grandma was trying to protect me, but I couldn't help feeling drawn to Kael. And I knew that I had to follow my heart, no matter what dangers lay ahead.
I took a deep breath and let my words hang in the air, waiting for Grandma's reaction. She looked at me with a mix of surprise and concern, her eyes searching mine for answers.
"Luna, are you sure?" she asked, her voice low and serious. "Vampires can be very charming and manipulative. Are you sure you're thinking clearly?"
I nodded, feeling a surge of defensiveness. "I'm positive, Grandma. Kael is different. He's kind and gentle, and he would never hurt me."
Grandma sighed, her expression softening slightly. "I want to believe you, Luna. I really do. But you have to understand that vampires are not like us. They have different rules and different loyalties. And sometimes, their interests can be... conflicting."
I knew that Grandma was trying to warn me, but I couldn't help feeling drawn to Kael. I knew that I had to see him again, to talk to him and figure out what was going on.
"Grandma, I understand what you're saying," I said, trying to reassure her. "But I need to do this. I need to see Kael again and figure out what's going on."
Grandma looked at me, her eyes filled with a mix of concern and understanding. "Okay, Luna," she said finally. "But promise me one thing: be careful. Vampires can be unpredictable, and I don't want you to get hurt."
I nodded, feeling a sense of relief. "I promise, Grandma. I'll be careful."
Grandma nodded, seeming to accept my promise. But I could see the worry in her eyes, and I knew that this was far from over.
