“Wait! No!” Jane laughs.
Filipe runs with Jane into the water, knee-deep before plundering Jane into the crashing waves.
Lilly watches from a distance, filled with jealousy. ‘So much for my plan,’ she thinks sourly, missing the volleyball. Lilly ignores all the scolding from her teammates and walks away.
“Lilly, wait up,” Cindy calls after her.
“What have you found on Jane?” Lilly asks when Cindy catches up with her.
“Nothing,” Cindy admits, out of breath.
“What do you mean nothing,” Lilly asks looking backward, back to the ocean where Jane is laughing at the top of her lungs.
“Nothing online,” Cindy says.
“Come, let's go back to campus, surely we can find something between her things,” Lilly says, speeding up her walk.
