“I’ve been working a summer job here,” Jane says, looking at their hands.
“We thought you went back to the orphanage. Won't you get Carlos’s mother in trouble for working a summer job?” May wants to know, making sure Jane notice that Carlos is hers.
“Summer job, Summer holiday hiking, same thing,” Jane says before turning her back on them.
‘I can not believe Carlos moved on so quick,’ Jane thinks, trying hard not to look back at them again.
After all the kids are in the rooms Jane went looking for Filipe, “can we talk?”
