It's been a whole week. I have not set my eyes on Ella, but the pain and anger of her walking out of my office still feels fresh, like new wounds. She's been avoiding me, and it's like she's erased me from her life. Her silence is killing me.
She was doing a great job after all. Maybe she wanted me to come and kill a cow for her so that she would be able to understand that I did what I had to do to save her life.
