Ella's POV
The big, black Lycan beast attacked me the moment I slipped off the purple-green seed tree. It was almost impossible for me to avoid it catching me, but I miraculously managed to dodge its claws by tiny inches.
It made a very deep, scary growl, and its growling eyes looked darkened as it ran after me. I made sure to run as fast as my trembling legs could carry me, and the surrounding trees looked more scary as if they were cashing me too. My chest hurt a lot, my heart was pounding fast, and at that moment I knew, deep down, that I wouldn’t be able to escape it.
