Why do I feel like coming here was the biggest mistake of my life?
I felt my spirit crushed into pieces as the overwhelming regret of agreeing to follow Alex…the ruthless Lycan King to this place crowded my thoughts. Everything I read about them is now being played in front of me in reality. This place is a terrific one, it's more like a prison with invisible chains.
Back in my room, I put the tray down on the table, took the herbal soup and finished up the remaining pills as directed.
As the warmth of the soup settled and relaxed my nerves, it made me fall into a deep and dreamless sleep.
For the first time in weeks, I slept like a baby without worries, and most sweetly, no nightmares haunted me.
That peace didn’t last long.
