Garrett “What, do you think, bothers you most about all of this?” The therapist asked in a calm voice after he had literally spilled his guts to him. His father had reminded him that morning of his appointment and told him not to hold anything back as it would hinder whatever progress he could make with the therapy. He wasn’t sure how he felt about telling everything he had experienced and felt to a total stranger, but he was sure his father wouldn’t lie to him about the positive outcome from therapy, although the therapist had assured him a single session would not be enough to ‘fix’ his emotions.
