"Little miss!" she heard Mike’s voice as he yelled for her.
"Lisa!!!" he called out to her again, as she tried to swim out from under the water for air to reply to Mike's call. It seemed today just wasn't her day. as a huge wave hit her once more and pulled her deeper into the sea. Lisa tried to weave her thin hands through the wave but all to no avail as she was pulled deeper into the sea.
All she could think of while sinking, seeing her end, was that she was going to die without having experienced the love people so much fantasize and wish for, exploring the world at this age of hers. No one would even look for her not to talk of missing and wishing for her return. What a sad life she lived.
"Damn that horrible Ella girl," she thought one last time as she tried to keep her consciousness knowing it was the promise of a lobster that brought her into this situation, too bad she was about to become food to one.
"Damn it" she cursed one more time as she finally lost consciousness.
Silence
That was all Lisa could feel around her as she moved her body a little.
“Hmm…” she sighed, burrowing into the bed.
A comfy bed, I must be in a hospital, but since when did hospital beds become this comfy? she thought as she buried her face deeper into the soft pillows.
"My lady" Lisa heard someone call out, but Lisa was too lazy to pull her face out to see what royalty was sharing a hospital room with her. Her crazy boss must be very devastated now that she is in the hospital, maybe she could take a month’s leave or two. Lisa giggled at her plan.
Lisa heard the shuffling of curtains as a heavy ray of sunlight shone straight onto her face.
"My lady, you have to wake up right now." The same voice repeated, but who was dumb enough to disturb a sick patient, Lisa wondered. All of a sudden, she felt her comfortable sheet pulled off her. Instantly angry, she raised her head ready to yell at whoever's maid it was that thought it was alright to wake a patient. Only when she opened her eyes to trace the culprit, she was dumbfounded.
"My lady, finally you are awake. I thought I would have to use an extreme method to wake you." Were nurses this pretty? She had light brown hair that was neatly made into a bun and possessed skin that was glowing and the brightest shade of forest green eyes which were currently trained on her in a mixture of worry and slight annoyance.
"Very pretty," Lisa said out loud as she smiled at her.
"My lady, are you sick?" she asked again but Lisa turned her head around to see who this “my lady” was that wasn't responding to her pretty maid. Immediately, she noticed it wasn't a hospital room as she’d thought. Lisa’s eyes scanned the room, it was quite spacious, with beautiful designs. No, this room was gorgeous, and she was currently laying on a canopy shaped-like bed made of pink sheets and pillows, the walls were ancient looking but very beautiful and rich and then there was a mirror facing her as she saw the most ghostly-looking person she had ever seen in her life staring straight at her.
"What the hell?!" Lisa yelled as she pointed at the mirror.
Who is that sickly pale girl? She yelled internally as she stared at the pale hands that were also pointed back at her, she yelled some more
"What the hell?! What the hell?!! Where am I and W- Who are you?!” Lisa asked the pretty maid frantically as she clumsily tried to get down from the bed.
"M-m-y lady, it is I, Rose, your personal maid" The maid instantly started bawling and rambling something about her lady being sick again.
"My lady…how could you… forget…this maid" More tears came out as Rose kept on crying. Feeling irritated Lisa quickly soothed
"No, no, no, I didn't forget I was just pulling your legs, silly girl” She then laughed a little. "Really?” Rose asked.
"Of course, I was just a little confused, you see I must have hit my head a little so I had mistaken you for someone else for a moment." Lisa then added, but that didn't seem to have helped since she started crying again. Frustrated, Lisa quietly let her, after all, she was the one in this weird predicament, shouldn't she also cry?
"Have you let it all out?" Lisa asked Rose.
"Yes, my lady, I am sorry for being so unmannerly" Rose apologized as she wiped her red nose with a handkerchief, she pulled out of her dress pocket.
"No worries" Lisa replied, awkwardly "So, can you tell me where I am, who I am, and how I ended up here?” Lisa threw the questions all at once, as she looked back at Rose panickily.
“My lady, b-but you know these things, or had you hit your head harder than you thought?”
“Just…for the love of whatever you love the most, please give me answers. I’m here about to lose my mind”
Her thoughts swirling in a thousand directions, she wasn't buying this transmigration s**t as Rose calmly swallowed the remnant of her tears and started explaining in detail.
“You are Estella Werdon, daughter to Marquess Simon and Lady Eloise who died during labor, and also a cherished granddaughter of Marchioness Rena, your grandmother. Sadly, after your mother passed away, your father remarried almost immediately to Lady Hilda and had twins, a boy and a girl, Rowen and Rosetta. To cut this story short, to outsiders, your family is seen as one of the happiest only you aren’t always intentionally included. It's pretty depressing though.” Rose narrated as shortly as she could, still wondering why on earth her lady would ask such an odd question.
“Must be a side effect of the medicine” she thought to herself.
Lisa had miraculously transmigrated from the twenty-first century with computers, phones, cruise ships, and helicopters to a world with none of the above, but carriages and mansions and a castle ruled by kings and queens.
"How can this be? How could this happen?! Please take me back to my democratic world!" Lisa exclaimed tiredly.
