Sitting quietly in front of the mirror, Lisa waited patiently as Rose fixed up her hair. Yes, her hair. Seems like she had forgotten to mention that it was almost as long as Rapunzel’s.
"Should I get a haircut?" She asked while they were still in the bathroom, but it seemed the question freaked Rose out as she accidentally dropped the brush.
"Rose, what do you think about me getting a haircut? Does my hair not feel so lengthy to dry and style neatly?" Lisa carefully rephrased her words as best she could, still, it seemed Rose wasn't appealed by this proposal since she dropped one of the pins she was about to place on Lisa's hair, again. Annoyed by Rose’s behavior towards her Lisa stood and grabbed Rose to pull her up so they could speak eye to eye.
"Does my hair glow while I sing and you comb it?” She asked curiously, ready to face another bunch of bullshit that would seal up this crazy dreamland she found herself in.
"Lady Estella, I don't get what you mean." Looking confused as she stared at Lisa, who had placed her hand on her face feeling quite frustrated.
Lisa returned to her chair facing the dressing mirror and asked Rose one last time while studying her face and reaction through the mirror.
"Why can't I cut my hair?” Rose lowered her hand as she replied,
"My lady, you’ve always loved your hair since you were young, hence you refusing to cut it. Ever. cut it"
She was holding something back; Lisa could feel it.
"What else?" Lisa demanded, not wanting to be left in the dark.
"Well, my lady, you’ve always wanted to keep your hair at this length till you found your suitor." Rose said with a bright clear blush on her face.
Lisa immediately turned her head, well. a little too fast because it almost felt as though she had sprained her neck in the process, then she said
"What? Este… I said what?" Lisa laughed out loud at how hilarious and pathetic the excuse was.
But Rose didn't seem to find it funny, because she immediately pouted her lips cutely and adorably
"My lady, I think it is a wonderful thing that you wanted to keep it for love…"
"… besides your hair is really beautiful" she added as she continued styling Lisa's hair.
Lisa, finally calming down, began to feel slight remorse about mocking Estella’s dreams of finding true love, though it was supposedly her dream now. Maybe Rose shared the same dream as her lady, after all, Rose and Estella seemed to be very close before this incident. Now thinking about Estella, Lisa couldn't help but wonder if Estella was somewhere in her conscience or perhaps, they merged to become one just like in the transmigration novels she had read about. Man, she was a sucker for "Dreamer in a Spring Boudoir." She must have read it like a thousand and one times, still reading it each time seemed more thrilling than the last. With this in mind, she decided to remain positive-minded, hoping she would finally wake up in a hospital room as she should have.
What a story she would have to write once she awakens. Bet, Ella would melt out of jealousy, she thought to herself.
Finally feeling satisfied with the styling of her lady's hair, Rose left Lisa to her thoughts and picked up the dresses she had placed on the bed.
"My lady, which would you like to put on today?” Rose asked.
Startled out of her thoughts, by the sudden question, Lisa looked at the dresses Rose held. Both were pink, but, different shades of pink. A sour expression instantly crosses Lisa's face. Seeing her lady's expression, Rose immediately springs to action,
"My lady, would you perhaps want to try out a different color today?" Rose suggested, trying to figure out the sudden lack of interest in this particular color.
"Yes, I would like to try out a different color and would you please cease with this lady title thingy? It's tiring you know" Lisa complained, but it seems Rose wasn't the type to drop the formalities. “Alright my lady, why don’t I get you more dresses from your closet?" She quickly added as she walked towards the closet and started digging in, Lisa quietly observed the stylish hair on her head. It reminded her of the ladies from Bridgerton, it wasn't extravagant, but it wasn't simple either.
"My lady, what about this baby pink dress you love a lot..." Rose asked placing a baby pink dress in front of Lisa,
"…and this bright pink with rose flowers on it?" Rose smiled feeling satisfied with her choices. "Why is it all in pink?" Lisa asked feeling frustrated with this particular color.
Lisa stood up from her seat by the boudoir and walked to the closet and instantly covered her eyes with her pale hands. She brought her hand down one more time then covered it again, took a step back, then looked at Rose, who seemed confused by her reaction to seeing her closet,
"What's the matter, Lady Estella?” Rose asked as she walked closer to where Lisa was standing looking petrified
"Are you not satisfied with your closet my lady? Would you like me to ask the marchioness for a bigger size?" Rose quietly asked, feeling concerned for her lady, for she had been behaving quite unusually since she woke up.
"You know what? I think I prefer this" Lisa said as she awkwardly laughed and selected one out of the two dresses Rose had earlier chosen. The closet wasn't the issue, to be honest, the closet was very spacious and meticulously built by an expert. The problem was the clothes in it, they were all pink, bright and blinding shades of pink. Every single one of them. This was just great. Estella definitely had a princess complex and Lisa was sure Estella was in love with a prince.
