And I know because I’ve done that many times to Meli. “Don’t punish your little finger,” Allen made me stop biting my nail. It’s a bad habit, biting my nails, I know. But I only do it when I’m nervous, stressed, anxious, or all the things mentioned before. Allen tried to encourage me by kissing the hand whose finger I was torturing, but my stomach was made into knots. To say I was worried was an understatement. I feared this could be my fault. “Allen, why would the King summon us like that?”
