CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO
He walks into Albert’s, the tailor shop, and Angelo is standing there at the desk with a beautiful girl with long, thick red hair. Travis does a double-take she is so pretty. Her blue eyes flash at him. He walks towards them both. Angelo says, ‘Travis, this is my friend Dianne.’
Dianne puts out her hand, and Travis takes it as she says, ‘What he meant to say was, this is my partner — as in girlfriend — Dianne.’
She gives Travis a firm handshake. Travis smiles, says, ‘I can see the Sympatico between you.’
They both laugh, and Angelo says, ‘You continue to surprise, Travis.’
‘It’s what I do.’
‘Dianne is leaving now, I think.’
And she smiles at him, says, ‘Yeah, have to rush, nice to meet you, Travis.’
