ROMAN POV “What is wrong with you?” I snapped, watching as Sage pressed a warm towel to the side of his head, where blood still trickled faintly. “I’m sorry. I wasn’t thinking,” he muttered, keeping his gaze on the floor. “Of course you weren’t,” I scoffed. “You have done nothing but act like a fool since the day you arrived. One training session, and suddenly, you think you are courageous enough to pick a fight?” “I didn’t start the fight,” he said, raising his head to look at me. “He was bullying a younger student. I couldn’t just stand by and watch.” “Well, you should have.”I shot back. “You are not some blasted hero, Sage. Know your place and stay out of matters that do not concern you.” He frowned. “Then why did you interfere?” I blinked. “What?” “I said, why did you help me?”
