Allison's couple years went by in a blur. They all started school and worked in studying between shopping and training. "Hey Allison," Aspen states, "Matt's birthday is in a couple of days we should surprise him with a party."
"That sounds good," Allison smiles at the idea and starts writing ideas in her notebook, quickly puts it away when Matt walks up.
"What is going on here?" Matt smirking knowing that both Aspen and Allison had something up their sleeves.
Allison shrugs, "why do you ask?" She then starts flirting with him and making out, practically in his lap both of them devouring each other like no tomorrow. All of a sudden they hear someone clearing their throat. Allison blushes and quickly turns back to Aspen. "We will talk later," Allison flashes a smile.
James back at the pack house has gone through every book in his library and office not knowing what he was looking for. He finally decides to go to an elder. They are up to date with myths and lore and everything. He walks by Gwen in the kitchen giving her a peck on the lips and then looking at his son that she is holding in her arms. His son was content and smiling. James puts his hands along his face and his son who they named Brian. Brian grabs his finger and holds it. "He has an amazing grip," James smiles and looks at Gwen.
"You notice," Gwen smiled, "have you had any luck yet into what that witch meant?"
"I am afraid not my love," James replied with a defeated sigh, "but I am going to go to Elder Ron and talk with him he might be able to give me answers."
"Well if we can't get answers then we will have to see for ourselves how special she is," Gwen smiled at James with a little gleam in her eyes.
"Well I will be back before the kids get home from school," James grabs a thermos full of coffee and heads out. James took his yellow Jeep 4 runner with black leather seats and dashboard. He drives down the drive way and only makes it half way when he sees Elder Ron already making his way up. James turns around and heads back to his pack house and as he arrived back he gets out smiling, "I was just coming to see you."
"I see well I had the feeling I needed to make an appearance here," Elder Ron smiles a cheeky grin on his wrinkled and scared face, he had short light brown hair neatly cut to his chubby face. He was thin and tall about 6'0 , looking a little frail, but still had a little muscle tone to him and he was in a dark button up shirt and black jeans and dress shoe , "lets head to your office." James leads the way to his office and Elder Ron sits in one of the chairs in front of his desk. Ron stops and opens a cabinet pulling out some scotch and two glasses and sits in his chair across from Elder Ron pouring scotch into both glasses.
"I have met a young lady a little while back," James smiles and looking Elder Ron in the eye, "a young newly turned wolf on a bus heading here."
"You took a bus instead of a jet?" Ron asked a little amused by this.
"Well yes, I needed to collect my thoughts about the meeting I had at that time and then seeing this young lady I felt the need to protect her and help her, I don't know why," James chuckles but then turned serious at the last part, "I got to know her along the way and she was running from her old pack, but that is her own story as in why." Ron looked at him sipping his brandy when a knock on the door was heard and Gwen opened the door and walked in with Brian.
"Nice to see you Gwen," Ron smiles and looks at Brian, "Congrats with your joyous occasion."
"Thank you," Gwen smiles and looks down at her sleeping son.
"She has been here for about a year now, and she has had an encounter with a witch, which she has caught our curiosity," James continues his story telling Elder Ron about the encounter and what was said.
"I see," Ron answered as he is rubbing his chin with his hand, "I have heard of a legend that might be the answer, but let me look in on that before I tell you of the legend."
"Yes Elder Ron," James bowed, "She should be here in a few minutes her and her friends usually train for an hour after school before anything else."
"I would really like to meet and talk with her," Ron smiles, "I hope I can help both you and her find the answers, but if not I will continue to look until we do find the answer we are looking for."
"Thank you Elder Ron," James smiles, "I have your usual room ready for your stay if you like to stay the night and have dinner with us."
"I would like that a lot," he replied smiling and heading up to his room where his belongings were for Alex took it upon himself to bring the Elders stuff up to the room. Elder Ron caught a scent that enabled his curiosity and walks over to the door where Allison's room was. He didn't go in he just stood there and tried to figure out what the scent was telling him. A car pulling up to the pack house caught his attention and he walked out of the pack house to see the young kids stepping out of a car. His attention quickly took notice of Allison and her aura.
"Elder Ron," James broke his thoughts and Allison standing beside James, "this is Allison the young lady I was telling you about."
"Hello Allison," Ron greets, "nice to meet you."
"Nice to meet you too," Allison replies with a soft smile and looking him in the eye. Not many wolves can look an elder or an alpha in the eye, but Allison for some reason was the exception, but she always showed respect to anybody superior to her. Matt, Harley, Jillian, Aspen, Mark, and Jeremiah were standing behind them.
"Maybe we can talk a little," Ron asked with a smile, "and try and get you answers."
"Yes Elder Ron," Allison follows James and Ron to the office. They continue talking and coming up with some sort of answer, but nothing. Elder Ron assured her that he will do what he can to get her answers and tells James to protect her for there was something about her and he didn't want her to be harmed. They had Matt's birthday party and finally a few months after that was Allison's 18th birthday. Matt hadn't found his mate and noticing that Allison wasn't his mate they both decided to be friends. Allison wasn't heart broken because he was still there for her and still felt protected by him as she always had. There was another pack coming in to meet the Alpha and she had been training hard with everybody in the pack both in her wolf form and human form finding out more abilities she had. Everybody was in awe of her, but also respected her as a good fighter. A scent came to her it smelled of honey and wood. "Mate," her wolf tells her in her mind. Allison looks around and makes eye contact with the alpha of the pack that had just arrived. "s**t," Allison said to herself, "wouldn't you know it my mate is of course him."
Allison turns to walk away only to be stopped by Gregg, "Allison, I finally found you."
"You found me now leave me alone," Allison growls at him.
"Allison wait," Gregg sighs, "please we and meaning your brothers and I need to talk to you."
"My brothers they are here," Allison coldly replies, "I don't want to hear anything right now I have things to do." She seen the hurt in Gregg's eyes along with her brothers. She didn't care at the moment and she cut her training short so she wouldn't train in her wolf form. She wasn't ready for them to see her wolf yet. Allison heads up to her room to collect her thoughts.
"Allison," Harley peeks in her door, "do you want to talk?"
"Come in Harley," Allison smiles slightly, "I can't believe he is my mate I hoped he wouldn't be."
"Who the alpha that just arrived," Harley asks smirking, "He is rather sexy."
"He is an arrogant asshole," Allison says giving Harley an irritated look.
"All Alpha's are at first, but after a little while things change," Harley states as she is brushing Allison's beautiful blonde hair.
"I just can't forget what he has done to me and I can't forget what my brothers have done," Allison says tears welling up insider her eyes.
"You are from the Crescent Moon Pack," Harley gasps.
"I am," Allison sighs now that everybody is going to know and wonders what James was going to do.
"Well I say don't forget what he has done, but forgive at least," Harley sits to where they are now eye level.
"I need to go for a run," Allison starts, "clear my mind more, I will be back."
"You want me to go with you?" Harley asks a little concerned about letting her go by herself.
"No I need some alone time," Allison firmly states but shows how she appreciates her friends concern. Allison makes it to the trees south of the pack house and shifts into her wolf and takes off south since she hasn't really been able to explore that area yet. She let the winds run through her fur which exilerated her as she started to run faster to let her anger and frustrations out. She ends up by a lake, the same lake that was in her dreams. She sat down right next to its shore just staring at the vast body of water in front of her. It was surrounded by mountains filled with aspens and pine trees, as in her dream, and the boulders were the same although it was still light, but the sun was setting fast. Allison shifts back into her human form and sits at the edge of the lake and gets lost in her thoughts. Soon it was dark and Allison is still there. She did feel a tug in her mind like someone trying to connect with her, but she still wasn't done getting her thoughts together so she ignored it for the time being. All of a sudden a scent caught her attention, and not one that seemed to be friendly. Allison hurriedly stands up and gets in a defensive position.
"Hmmm, a young human," a man smirks same man Allison has seen in her dreams. The one with spikey blonde hair and pale skin.
"Who are you I have seen you in my dreams," Allison states still defensive.
"You had been dreaming about me," he smirks.
"Not like that dipshit," Allison scoffs and rolls her eyes, "and for your information I am not a human."
"You smell human," he says.
"Oh I do?" Allison surprised at that, "well if you want I will show you, but for now who are you?
"I am Lucious,", he replies eyeing Allison, "and your name?"
"Allison," she states, "I don't want trouble."
"Well unfortunate for you trouble found you," Lucious smirks and starts walking towards Allison, but she found another ability to stop him in his tracks.
"I said I don't want trouble and I don't want to cause any reason for trouble for my pack," Allison states harshly for him to understand.
"Yes no trouble here," Lucious agreed and Allison lets him walk again, "so you are a wolf?" They both sat and talk for hours when Allison told him that she should go her pack is probably going insane since they have been protective of me.
Allison goes to leave but turns back and smiles, "I hope we can be friends."
"As you know us vampires don't like wolves," Lucious states grinning.
"Ah well we should change that," Allison says back and leaves.
Greggs pov.
The last place I would expect her to be I found her and she won't let me talk to her and apologize. I understand though, but I still want to and need to apologize. "Where is she I really want to talk to her," Gregg sounding a little worried.
"I don't know," Josh states, "I want to help find her but we don't know the area so James' patrol is looking for her."
"I should be out there looking instead sitting her doing nothing," Gregg states angrily his eyes starting to go dark, "its really late she shouldn't be out this late."
"From what it looks like she can handle herself if in a situation," Jacob chimes in, "and if she was in trouble I am sure she would have sent a mind link to the alpha."
"What if someone drugged her or knocked her out," Gregg replied running his fingers in his hair, "she couldn't mind link then."
"She finally replied to our mind link," James stated as he walked in the living room to where Josh, Jacob, and Gregg were, "she is safe and on her way back, she just needed some space to re-center herself."
As James finished the door opened and Allison walks in with Matt right behind her being protective of her. "I am sorry I was gone for so long I lost track of time," Allison states sympathecially, "Alpha James, can I talk to you in your office."
"Yes," James replied sighing relief to see her safe. They all get up to head to James' office.
Allison turns to Gregg and her brothers, "I need to speak to him alone if you would." They all looked at her, but agrees.
"But Matt is going," Gregg states coldly.
Third Party pov:
"I know, but he needs to hear this too," Allison shot him an annoying look. With that she turns and follows Matt and James up to his office. She was the last person in the room and sits next to Matt in the other chair in front of the desk. "I know I shouldn't have run off by myself," she starts, "but I am glad I did."
"You know its dangerous," James said sternly, "with the statement that witch made you should have had someone go with you just incase something would have happened."
"Well," Allison looks at the alpha his eye and then at Matt, "something did happen." James and Matt both look at Allison now in extreme protective mode, but told her to continue. Allison started to tell him what had happened and the conversation and the abilities that she had just recently discovered. James and Matt gave her their whole attention and not saying a word until she was done.
"That is just like the dream you had," James stated eyes wide.
"That is why I am telling you this," Allison stated, "but I am okay nothing bad happened infact the vampire sat and talked to me." Allison still looking between James and Matt getting a read on their faces, "He said that my Aura shows that I am chosen."
"Chosen?" James and Matt questioned at the same time, "did he elaborate."
"No, not to much," Allison continued, "all he said is that when the time comes I will know."
"We will talk to Elder Ron about this," James stated and a knock on the door stopped their little meeting, "come in." The door opens and in comes of course Ron as if he knew he needed to be there.
"My dear you had everybody in a frenzy," Ron smiles with a gleam in his eye, "and I wanted to chat with you at dinner which you missed."
"I know I just lost track of time," Allison smiles warmly, "and I am sorry we couldn't have our little talk."
"Its okay," Ron stops her, "so I heard that you guys needed to talk to me."
"Elder Ron," James smiles and chuckles, "you never ceased to amaze me, here I am just saying we need to talk to you and here you are."
"Well," Ron smiles, "its just intuition, and I wanted to make sure that Allison was safe as well."
"I am safe thank you," Allison states, "I just needed to go and collect my thoughts."
"We seeing as it is late," Ron stated, "I think what ever you need to talk to me about can wait until tomorrow and you my dear need to eat something." Allison's stomach grumbled and she blushed at this. They all agreed to meet tomorrow and discuss what had happened. They walk down the stairs and Allison goes to the kitchen and grabs some things off the counter to eat as there were still left overs from dinner.
"Allison," Gregg says softly, "please listen I have something I need to say."
"I am listening Gregg," Allison coldly states continuing to eat her food.
"First off I know that sorry doesn't even come close to making things right," Gregg starts as he sits across from her, "but I am here to say that I am sorry and I want to show you how sorry I am for how I treated you if you will give me a chance."
"I see," Allison raises her eyebrow looking at him, "does it have to do anything with being mates?"
"Allison I felt the need to do this even before I realized we were mates in your old room at your mothers house," Gregg stated looking at her, his eyes showed remorse and so much sadness in them, but Allison wasn't sure that he meant it yet.
"I heard you and my brother that night," Allison spats, "you said that you would rather reject me and kill me instead of being mated to me."
Gregg's eyes grew wide, but then shame shown on his face and in his eyes, "Allison I was an i***t, but if you will please give me a chance to show you I have changed, I will do everything in my power to get your forgiveness at least."
"Well if you want you can reject me and as far as killing me I don't think it will happen at least not here," she states taking her dish to the sink.
"I am not going to reject you Allison," Gregg firmly stands his ground, "I will not reject you but after giving me a chance and all I ask is a month and if you don't see the change you want and you want to reject me I will abide by that."
"Okay I will give you a month Gregg," Allison agrees, "but that is all I will give you."
"Thank you Allison," Gregg now excited and happy that he convinced her to give him a month, "I promise I will show you I have changed." They head upstairs and into their rooms, Allison finding it hard to sleep as her thoughts were invading her mainly about her meeting with the vampire and her situation with Gregg she dozed off.
