I chewed on my thumbnail as I sat on the beach waiting for Riven.
The renovations were underway, we needed the main buildings to be completed by the time of the Moon Ceremony, and Riven had called in a few teams to begin.
I was nervous about the whole thing, Jake's warning still in the back of my mind.
I had decided that I would tell Riven about our suspicions that Minnaloushe was up to something, regardless of Jake asking me not to.
If we were right and it involved Riven I felt that he had the right to know.
My phone buzzed and I answered upon seeing Jake's name on the screen.
"Minx, baby, how are things there?"
"The renovations have started, Riven wants it ready for the Ceremony. Any news on Min?"
"No, Jesse and I have been keeping a close eye on her, she seems very anxious over
