Helliana is laying in the bed looking at her father sleeping beside her. She's thinking about what to do about her body, she's been suffering in controlling herself and she doesn't want to make her dad worries. In a second, she seated and roamed her sight. The glass windows are scattered on the floor. She sighed and get up. Helliana gets in the bathroom and turned on the shower. She let the water ran down to her body while her eyes closed. She looked at her skin, it's not reddish anymore. "What was that?" she asked herself. "Am I been cursed by witches in the forest? Oh my goodness!" she covers her mouth in shock. She can't believe it, "Ah, no, no, I think not." She said again and shook her head. "Helliana, where are you?!" Helliana's father shouted. "Dad, I'm taking a bath!" she answered him back. "Make it fast and we'll talk after. I'm just downstairs." He bidded before leaving. After she took a bath, she changed her usual clothes, a wavy pastel dress. She combed her hair and go downstairs. She saw her dad crossed fingers below his chin like he's literally waiting for her to tell something she'll never like. She curved his lips into a smile when her dad and her eyes met. "Daddy," she called and gave him a warm hugged in the neck. "Helliana, we have to talk about something," he said in a serious tone. "Daddy, I'm okay," she answered, seated. She chewed her lips to stop being nervous. Her dad might worry again. "Helliana, no. You're not okay, I witnessed how you suffer in pain last night," he said and turned his gaze away as his eyes welled up with tears. Helliana started to feel the ache from inside. She fights back her tears not to let her father see it. "Daddy, I am okay." She reassured him, "Don't cry," she said softly and gave him a forced smile. "How do you feel? I wanna know," he asked and wiped his own tears and that makes Helliana's heart break apart. "I felt like my whole body is burning," she started thinking about what really happened to her, "In the forest, I felt it first there. Dad, my heart. I feel like it's running and I can't catch it." She told him in a shaky voice. She's afraid she might lose herself. "Oh, my daughter." He extends his hand to hold her. "Like...someone is calling me, to go in the place where they are." Helliana tears fell in her rosy cheeks. The pain she has been through is terribly worst. "Helliana, listen. That means you already felt your mate." "Mate? Dad, elders said that it took 100 years to have and meet mates." Helleon shook his head and say, "It's not, we can meet our mates anytime anywhere because we are born to have one," he explained. Her eyes widen in shock. It still blurs to Helliana to believe. "Then, did you feel the same as mine? Did----," she said in confusion. "No, I only feel the burning of our hearts and desire," he answered honestly, "That's why I don't know about your case." "Dad, how can I cure this?" she asked. "We need to find your mate as soon as possible. You need to meet him," he seriously answered. He doesn't want to suffer her lovely daughter more. She is the precious thing he has. "Dad, can you let me find him? With myself? I can find him," "No, I won't let you!" he hardly stuttered. His forehead creased and his fist clenched into balls. "Dad, please." She pleaded crossed fingers. She curved into a huge smile even if there's a sadness inside her. "What if you'll lose your consciousness without people around you? Who'll help you, huh?" he raised his voice talking to her. Helliana feels like her tongue moves backward and chokes in her own saliva. "D---dad, it's not it. I can bring Gela with me, just please let me handle this." "One no is enough, Helliana." His face darkened. "You will just let me sit here and suffer this?! Dad! I, myself can only find my mate!" she snapped and ran upstairs leaving her dad's pulling out his own hair. "Theresa, I hope you are here with me. I don't know what to do with our daughter. Should I let her do what she wants?" he whispered in the air like Theresa will hear it and gave him the answer to his questions. At last, he breathes out a loud sigh and prepares Helliana's breakfast. ******* "Granny, how are you?" he asked gently. "What happened to you, Eustas?" he answered him with a question. "I have a problem in my body, I can't control it, Granny. I am always thirsty," "Because no one can give you the blood you want but only your mate." She said smiling. Eustas looked at her seriously. "My mate?" "Ah-huh...you already feel you mate, aren't you? She's the only one who can fulfill the blood you need." She explained and started to comb her long white hair. "You should find her or you will always be like that." "Granny," he called her while his hand covered his mouth in shock, "Does it mean that----," his eyes widened, and holding his breath. "Yes, you need her or will lose your control." His knees trembled in fear, it's hard for him to stop it. "Don't be scared, I am here when you need me." She added and patted Eustas back. "But how can I find her? I don't know who is she." "Who?" someone spoke. It's his grandpa, Lucas. Wearing paired with black sleeves and pants. You can see his white hair. "Grandpa," he bowed his head. "Lucas, you look good. Did you rest well?" Granny replied and plastered a huge smile on her face. "Yes, I'm sorry if I get up late. What was the both of you talking about?" he asked them and walks towards the kitchen. "Eustas already feel his mate and a little bit abnormality happened," Granny explained to him and was forced to smile. His husband is high-tempered, she has to take care of what she is going to say. "Ah-huh...what abnormality?" he muttered and drink a glass of blood. Granny gestured to Eustas to talk to his grandpa. Eustas is nervous because he might get angry. "My fangs are in and out and I feel like I'm burning, grandpa." He told him nervously. They are not that close but he wanted and was eager to be. "Your mate is not a vampire," he stated. Granny and Eustas faced each other with questions in their heads. "Really?" he asked in doubt. He didn't how can it be possible. "Why? Do I look like I'm not serious?" he pointed himself. His lips pursed and his both brows raised. He shook his head, "No, grandpa," he answered. "Lucas, don't be like that. He doesn't have an idea about it," A memory flashed in his head. The human, the human he heard in the forest. His heart beats loud and fast. He held his chest. "Eustas, you fangs again," Granny called him but Eustas can't hear her. "So, that's the abnormality he said. Let him, Granny." Instead of helping Eustas, he is seated on the couch and drink blood he never tastes in months. "But, Lucas. He's out of his mind." Granny shouted. Eustas is now catching his breath. His knees were bent again. "Eustas, Eustas! Can you hear me?" she called him and shake his shoulders, "Lucas, help me!" Lucas deeply sighed and stand up to help, "Let me handle that." Lucas extends his arms to Eustas mouth. He's the one who let his grandson bite him until he feels that he's sipping. "Don't sip too much, Eustas." She reminded him. "Let him, Granny." The high tempered grandfather ended helping his grandson until Eustas lay down on the floor with blood messed under his mouth. "Lucas are you okay?" she asked, worried. "Don't tell him he bitten me, okay? I think I have to sleep again." Granny nodded in response and help him go to his room, "I love you, Lucas. Sleep well. You are your grandson's strength." She kissed him and cover him with a blanket. She cleaned Eustas not to ask why he have bloodstains. He let him rest for a while.
