When she finally changed her clothes, she gets back to lay and thinking about what she'll do. She cannot be mate with the Vampire, they cannot meet. She closed her eyes and bitten her fingers.
"Are you awake? I have prepared fish here."
"Did he already bite me?" she asked in her mind. She shook her head, "He didn't. But, why? Is he just being kind then-----,"
"Helliana, are you okay? Your mind seems clouded by nonsense thought."
She looked at him shocked, "What?! Did you hear what I said?" he asked.
"No, what is it? I'm sorry. I'm thinking about something."
Eustas sighed and looked away, "Someone is chasing you, isn't it? Here, I cooked fish." He gave the plate with food he has and the fish he cooked. Helliana stared at him with doubt.
"You can't just stare at me! Eat, you are hungry and you owe me a story." He said and place the plate in Helliana's hand. She is dumbfounded looking at his wide back.
"How come he's so handsome? Argghhh...you should think about how to escape from here, Helliana."
She ended up eating the food that Eustas made, "Even the food and his name are deliciously handsome." She rolled her eyes.
"Arrgggghhh...Daddy!" she yelled in a whisper not to hear by Eustas, "Oh my gosh! I think I have an idea." She said and finished the food, she is really hungry because the two-man is after her and she can't even rest and eat.
Flashback
"Where do you think you're doing? Shoot her, Sung!"
"Where do you think, Sang? I nowhere to go but I think I can still escape from the both of you." She said and smirked. She stepped back and the arrow from her back touched the tree that resulted in a loud groan in pain, "F*ck! Argg...it hurts!" she looked down and saw the cut piece of the arrow.
"We spent too much time for you, the sun is almost drowning and Vampire will smell your blood." He said and laughed. She is not afraid anymore but one thing for sure, she's tired and restless. Her eyes almost close and her wounds aching badly.
"Sang, should I shoot here?"
"Yes, Sung. So, we can go home and rest but her body will be the dinner of Vampires." He answered and smiled at him.
"Stay there, lady. I'll shoot you." He commanded but when he pulled it off Helliana able to run in different directions.
"So, slow as always!" she shouted and ran fast. She can barely breathe in running and running but she really needs to get rid of them. She heard the sounds of flowing water. She stopped and looked in a different direction finding where it is.
"Where it is?"
"You can't leave us like this, wolf! You are nowhere to go."
Helliana's ears move when she already knows where's the river is. When she already heard it clear she saw the clear river.
"Wow! I never saw this before."
She faced the two-man and smiled.
"Looks like we're going to see each other again, Sung and Sang."
"Don't jump! That's too high!" Sang stopped her.
"Well, you know I have invisible wings."
"Shoot her, Sung!" he shouted but when Sung redied the arrow. Helliana finally jumped backward smiling. Her eyelids started to close and her heart beats fast.
"Oh my gosh!" she heard until her body touched the cold water. Finally, she'll be able to rest, she lost her consciousness.
Thinking about what happened to her and how she met her vampire mate. Her head is full of thoughts.
"Eustas, where're my shoes?" she asked, "I am done eating!"
She hurriedly fixed her things inside her bag. She needs to go home and tell that to her father. They cannot stay together, that's the rule. She stopped when Eustas gave her the shoes.
"Here, it's not yet dry." he coldly said.
"It's okay, thank you. Can I have a favor please?"
He raised his thick eyebrows, "What is it?"
"Can you please make a fire? I am cold..." She said and acted like she's shivering in cold.
"Then, if you feel cold why are you wearing your wet shoes?" he asked. She nibbled her lower lips and gave him a fake smile.
"Ah--I thought it'll help."
"Okay, don't go anywhere. I'll find dry wood first. It's getting dark." He said and take his leave.
After she fixed her things she saw the square-shaped floor. She picked it up and saw that it's a painting, "He painted it? It's beautiful." She commented, "My mate?" she read the words written under, "Is this me?"
Helliana put the frame down when she heard footsteps. Eustas is coming back. She gets out from the tend and ran.
"I need to go home." She whispered. In 10 minutes of her walk, she saw a fire in the middle of it. She curiously walked towards it where the smoke from.
The waves of laughter of men are what you can hear. Wearing a rugged cap, ripped clothes, and dirty pants. They are sitting circled in the bonfire with guns in their arms. She suddenly feels cold in her body. She stepped back and stepped on the trap but good thing she stepped away and run. The group of men looked at her way.
"There is a woman!"
"Get your gun and hunt her!" the leader shouted, "Let's go!" he spilled his smoke out and follow where Helliana goes.
"Don't shoot her! Use poison gun, make her sleep. It will be the best night we can have." He excitedly said.
"Why do I have to run always? Can't I have a peaceful way home?" she complaint while running breathlessly.
"She's here!"
"Ahhh!!! Help! Help!" she shouted as if there is someone who'll save her from these bad guys in dark night.
"Over there! Let's go!"
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Where will I go? Ahhh!"
"Shoot her, dumbass!"
"Why do they have to shoot me? Did I do something? I didn't even interfere with their talk." Arms circled to her neck that makes her eyes widened and screamed, "Ahhh! Ahh! Get off me! Ahh!"
A middle-aged man laughed and shouted, "I caught her!"
"Who are you?"
"Me? I am the master of the masters?" She stopped screaming and relax.
"I think that is called a legend, old man."
"Really? Is that what you called the master of the masters?" he asked and his grip in Helliana's neck loosened up.
She nodded, " I read it in the book and you know what is a legend? The legend is powerful! The legend is strong!"
"Yes, I am powerful. I am strong! No one can beat a legend like me!" After he said that he laughed so loud, "I am a legend!"
Helliana made a fake smile and silently walk away.
"Where do you think you're going?!"
"Ahh... Help!"
She ran again. The man she called legend triggered his gun pointing at Helliana. He shoots her to her legs but she still running and in a second her eyes become blurry as coffee. She still managed to run even if she didn't know where she's heading.
"Help! Help!"
Strong arms circled to her hips and pulled her closer to him.
"Ahhhh!" he covered her mouth not to make any noise.
"Shut up... It's me, Eustas. You're safe now." He whispered.
Helliana's eyes slowly close and say, "Eustas..."
"Rest now."
"Where did she go?! She made me believe that I am the legend, f*ck it!"
Eustas can't help himself but smile and shake his head. He takes off the small sharp bullet from her legs and carried her away.
