Days passed each one bringing Adam and Audrey closer as they settled into a new rhythm. Their mornings typically began in the gym where Adam trained with her helping Audrey manage the aches and discomfort that had become a constant companion during her pregnancy. But today was different. Adam insisted that she join him at the office for the first time. Audrey was surprised but agreed sensing his desire to keep her close and his protectiveness almost palpable.
That morning Adam escorted her to Blackwood Enterprises his logistics company. A towering sleek building in the heart of the city. Audrey felt a mix of excitement and nerves; she hadn’t expected to enter his professional world so soon. But Adam's hand on her back as they walked through the grand lobby reassured her.
