Days later….
The grandeur of the party hall was enough to make Audrey’s head spin as she entered on Adam’s arm her gaze darting over the opulent crystal chandeliers gilded walls and the soft hum of conversation punctuated by the clink of champagne glasses.
The guests around her were dressed in exquisite gowns and finely tailored suits their movements graceful sophisticated… and just a little intimidating.
Adam leaned in his voice low and warm by her ear. “Relax. You look beautiful” he said squeezing her hand.
“Thank you” she whispered glancing up at him with a nervous smile. “But uh I’m trying not to think that half of these people might be you know… werewolves or… mafia bosses.”
