The estate felt different in the days following the Moonlight Masquerade. The air was heavy charged with an energy Audrey couldn’t place. Even the staff seemed to move with a heightened sense of purpose their gazes darting toward the sky where the waxing moon grew fuller each night. Audrey had noticed Adam becoming more withdrawn.
