Surprise visit the next day from Aunt Sarah had Audrey thrilled to her bones.
The soft hum of conversation filled the warm inviting kitchen as Aunt Sarah moved gracefully between the stove and the dining table her presence as comforting as the smell of roasted rosemary chicken wafting through the air.
Audrey watched from the doorway her heart swelling with a bittersweet mix of emotions. She had missed this…. the ease the normalcy and most of all her aunt’s grounding presence.
