Two months had passed since Audrey’s encounter with Adam but life hadn’t returned to normal. There were small things like fatigue and dizziness that she brushed off as stress.
But when she missed her period for the second month in a row a sinking feeling settled in her chest.
Today she was going to take a test just to be sure.
In the silence of her bathroom Audrey held her breath as she stared at the test in her hand. The seconds felt like hours. Slowly two lines appeared. Positive.
