"Oh gosh!" She muttered softly and quickly dropped the towel.
Barbara slowly lifted her gaze to Nate. Her eyes widened when she saw the man standing completely naked in front of her! His huge thing was the only thing she could see right now, and she felt her throat suddenly go dry. Her mind was screaming at her to look away, but her body said otherwise!
"Done checking me out?" Nate’s voice snapped her out of her dazed thoughts.
She quickly averted her gaze as her face heated up. "I'm not checking it out, okay?!" She said, her voice rising slightly.
"Why do you seem so flustered, Barbara? You have already seen this and even got a taste of it," he said in a teasing voice.
At that moment, she shot Nate a deadly glare. "I'm not flustered. As if yours is the biggest that I have ever seen!" She declared boldly.
She saw Nate’s jaw tighten as his gaze hardened on her. She mentally bit her lower lip. It seemed like her choice of words had been wrong. She had only wanted to get back at his teasing. And besides, she had only seen two, and compared to Luke, Nate was the bigger one and definitely good in bed too.
"You've seen a lot of dícks?" He asked, almost in disbelief.
She took a deep breath before speaking. "Is that really important to you?"
"Yes." He answered without hesitation. "You're insulting my ego, Barbara."
She squeezed her eyes shut tightly. "Let's stop talking about your thing, okay? And please, cover yourself. You might get indigestion from the cold air-conditioning in your room."
"Give me my towel!" He hissed irritably.
She flinched and looked at the towel she had dropped. Yeah, right—she was the one holding the cover for his body. She quickly picked up the towel and handed it to him without looking at him. She felt Nate grab the towel from her hand. A few more seconds passed before he spoke.
"I'm done, you can look at me now."
She slowly turned to look at Nate and only then breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that the lower part of his body was already covered. After a moment, Nate extended his hand to her, which she just stared at.
"Don't worry, my hands are clean. I didn't touch my thing down there after going out of the shower," he said sarcastically.
She couldn’t help but scoff. "I didn't say that."
"Your eyes were saying otherwise?"
She let out a deep sigh before accepting the man’s hand and letting him help her stand up.
"Thank you," she said softly.
"You're welcome," he replied.
While standing in front of Nate, she could see that even when she was wearing heels, he was still towering over her. His broad shoulders reminded her of how she had clung to him that night. She mentally shook her head. She shouldn’t be thinking about that anymore.
"I'll just wait outside," she uttered and hurriedly left the man’s room.
With his hands on his hips, Nate followed Barbara’s retreating figure with his gaze. He smiled while watching her act like a shy girl seeing someone naked for the first time. But when he remembered what she had said about him not being the biggest she had ever seen, his smile instantly vanished. He would make sure that woman paid for looking down on him one of these days!
Barbara sat on one of the sofas in the living room. She even fanned herself while waiting for Nate to come out. The air was cold, yet she was still sweating stickily.
After a while, Nate emerged from his room. He was now wearing a white shirt and gray pajamas, with a towel around his neck and his hair still wet.
She cleared her throat before speaking. "I can see that you're already done. Can we talk now?"
Nate stared at her before glancing at the clock. "It's already seven in the evening. Let's eat first before talking."
She immediately shook her head. "No need. I'm not hungry yet," she quickly refused.
It wasn’t that she wasn’t hungry, but her mind was telling her she shouldn’t stay with him for too long in a secluded place—and she didn’t understand why.
"But I am hungry. And I can’t think well if I’m starving. If you don’t want to eat, you can just wait for me here until I’m done," he said casually and headed in a particular direction.
As Nate walked toward the dining area, he felt Barbara following him. The corner of his lips lifted, and he simply continued walking.
When they reached the dining area, Barbara was slightly surprised by the table setup. It was definitely a dinner for two. Had Nate prepared it in advance for the two of them?
