“You’re kidding.”
I shouldn’t have opened the door, especially since Banner wasn’t here. He left earlier to go to work since he hadn’t been in all week thanks to me.
But why wouldn’t I open the door when I saw my mother standing there through the peephole?
Of course, my thoughts were along the lines of she had come to apologize, to tell me she loved me despite my choices, but no. My aunt Judy stood off to the side, waiting for me to open the door before they both barged in.
