Chapter 27 February 8th I pulled into a spot in the parking lot of my OB-GYN and shut off the engine. Taking a deep breath, I opened the door and reached across the center console to grab my purse, then locked the car before climbing out. Each visit to this office had become harder over the years. My annual exam results were the only good news that ever seemed to come from the place, but I hoped this time would be different.
